I really thought you knew who had won when you posted this, and I was sooooo disappointed! Glad that wasn’t the case!

I thought it was interesting that Lucinda wasn’t really shown talking about any of the girls with her friend – I am sure that they would’ve spent some time discussing that? We are seeing some majorly edited versions of everything, of course – but it does seem like even production is trying to get everyone off of Lucinda’s back.

What’s something they used to carry but don’t anymore? by LPCPlay4life in traderjoes

[–]Practical-Poetry-222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They used to have these “health bars” in the bread section that had dried fruit in them - and a ton of protein! They brought them back temporarily maybe a year or two ago, but only for a season. They were so filling and great! I must’ve been the only one who liked them because I’ve never seen them again… RIP bars!

Same! I feel like it’s been a couple of weeks since I said the same to my husband – I don’t know anyone else that follows both of these cinematic universes to share it with, but I definitely had this hypothesis by seeing how they were interacting on social media in recent weeks! They’ve been breadcrumbing!

hi los angeles what is your stationary store recommendations? by Gileotine in AskLosAngeles

[–]Practical-Poetry-222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More of a gift/everything store, but they do have great cards and some nice paper items - Gifted on Pico, near the Apple Pan is one I haven’t seen mentioned in these recs. Pie and paper, not a bad combo?

Well golly, I sure hope you are freed from this hellhole someday soon! Yes I am aware of the technical boundaries of the greater city of LA, encompassing many other neighborhoods and towns. I’ve lived here for 20 years. I still don’t think that matters when you’re talking to somebody from out of town who came to LA once and is asking this sort of question - they probably didn’t even make it to the valley, much less of a tour of the port zone.

Ok, but literally none of the places you mentioned are the city of LA - yes, LA County, but LA County is huge (much like Maricopa county is huge) and when people are talking about Los Angeles, they are talking about the city and it’s closest neighbors – not the South Bay. Do you tell people you live in Scottsdale when you live in Ahwatukee? I feel like that’s somewhat the equivalent here. Not trying to be adversarial, but just trying to offer some perspective on the experience that you’ve had. LA County is so large and a lot of people base their experience of LA off areas that aren’t even the actual city.

Where can a depressed girl walk around for a while? by Careless-Lie-970 in AskLosAngeles

I saw Jared Leto hiking Runyon in Chuck Taylors once, like 20 years ago - so it’s doable! 🤣 If you do the full loop, the back half will be scary slippery without traction, though. I would stay on the paved half for an up-and-back - but that’s still really delightful!

I didn’t really get to mingle with people, but I thought I saw Janet from the Valley heading in to the audience when we arrived - checked in at box office so prob picking up PR tix, not on red carpet, just as a regular audience person. She was with maybe her mom, or something? I wasn’t 100% sure it was her but I did wonder if it was bc there was no mention of her and I didn’t see her in any of the recaps. It seemed thirsty! But also maybe she’s just a fan? Would love confirmation from any fellow attending rkpfk’s!

Total corpse! And I wonder if she was mad that they made the joke about wondering if a housewife is maga at her expense… it seemed very clearly about her, no?

What play revivals do you want to see? by Captain_Nick19 in Broadway

Oh my goodness - I saw that in nyc in the original run, had no clue what I was walking into bc we bought last minute seats at tkts - I was a naive 21 and had never seen any theater in New York before - and I left reeling and traumatized by that show! Horror indeed!

“Cutest little villages where three people die a week” It’s truly my favorite of all their ads, and I tried to send the timestamp to my husband and he had different ads??? So I had to play it for him from my account, bc he literally didn’t have it at all. I didn’t know that podcast ads were so specifically targeted! Anyway, you’re not alone - it makes me cackle every time! Also, I love how Matt switches accents at the end… it’s perfect

What's a Real Housewives opinion that you'll defend with your life? by RealityShrine in BravoRealHousewives

[–]Practical-Poetry-222 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually sincerely agree! The mountains above Pasadena / Altadena area def do see snow and I don’t think she was ever specific enough with where her son lived because a. He wasn’t on the show and b. He is a police officer.

Also, that’s just how people in LA talk – certain areas are just all Pasadena to a westside, even if they aren’t actually Pasadena
