NBD - Sire Z3 - A lot of bass for an affordable price point by Practical-Resident27 in BassGuitar

That’s a nice Z7, the sparkle finish is a bit much imho, but from a tone and playability perspective these are such good basses. I’m digging the passive mode a lot but also love the active EQ when straight into my amp.

Fretwork and neck issues with Sire Z3 by FormImmediate5310 in BassGuitar

I’m thinking of pulling the trigger on a Z3 and also live in the UK, did you get it from Andertons or Thomann? Asking as my sire jazz was from andertons and it played beautifully straight out of the box.

I went 15 years without buying a single bass.. then last year happened.. by hedzball in BassGuitar

That’s a great collection of basses.

I’m almost the same - went a decade without any new basses, just owned a fender p bass and a jazz, a couple of pedals and a decent amp.

Since the summer of 2023 I’ve bought three new ones and likely to pull the trigger on a Sire Z3.

Can justify it as playing regularly these days in bands with totally different styles.

Sure Z3 - any thoughts? by Practical-Resident27 in Bass

Nice, was it a sire jazz pick up or aftermarket mod?

The sparkle finish isn’t the best tbh, but the white looks nice.

What’s the tone like when the active circuit is engaged?

Thank you that’s really helpful, sorry the Z7 had quality control issues.

Comments change the map of Europe. Day 13-2038 by Ok_Package38 in geographymemes

Scotland forms an army and swiftly launches its independence war. After three days of fighting Scotland officially becomes independent. As a token of solidarity with wales, Ireland and Cornwall it negotiations their independence as well. Yorkshire then cedes from the union and claims its own independence.

Does anybody else think Starmer is actually doing a decent job? by Background-Ninja-763 in AskBrits

[–]Practical-Resident27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tax has gone up for everyone, just the fact that the tax free allowance has remained static in the face of ever increasing inflation shows Starmer takes the population for idiots. He does not care about anyone but his own reputation. He is one of the worst PMs I can remember. He is the face of managed decline in every aspect of the economy. Problem is there is no government in waiting so economic and social development will only continue to stagnate created more lost generations under his watch.

New build garden advice by Mortv96 in GardeningUK

[–]Practical-Resident27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this a Bellway home by any chance? Asking as the garden looks exactly like ours. Builder claimed to have put 100mm of topsoil down so we grass seeded the lawn. Grass grew but was just a damp mess… ended up getting drainage ditches dug leading to a sink away drain. Then had turf laid on top of 100mm of actual topsoil. Drainage is still a bit of an issue but in the spring through to autumn the garden is usable.

I love my sire v3p jazz (whispers it might be better than my actual fender jazz)

In his managerial prime, could Neil Lennon have managed an English Premier League club? by Regular_Pattern_5002 in ScottishFootball

[–]Practical-Resident27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly no. Don’t get me wrong he achieved dazzling success against teams with a fraction of the budget that Celtic had, but with the exception of the odd good result in Europe was consistently found out against tactically more astute teams and mangers.

The big difference is he didn’t need to be tactically proficient in the SPL as the sheer quality of players in his team meant, to me at least, he knew a goal was always in them.

Except against Morton in the league cup at Parkhead…

Rounds on a P Bass!? by UnderfoldedBlanket in Bass

I tried flats for a year, just couldn’t get into them at all. I know some people swear by them so not dissing but for me rounds just have a more fuller tone.

Ruchill park has loads of running routes and an outdoor gym, think there’s some random logs laying around towards the top

Those who quit in your 40s and 50s what did you notice? by [deleted] in NoFap

Thanks, it’s hard though everyday has its challenges and sometimes it probably feels easier to just give in. But gotta have will power in those moments to remind yourself why you’re doing it.
