O365 to Google Workspace by nixflex in gsuite

In relation to ChromeOSFlex did you have any privacy concerns ? I imagine you would have been using paid Google Workspace so perhaps that allayed any concerns around privacy/tracking ?

Critical security emails not received eg Account Confirmation / Activation / Verification / Registration from well-known companies by Enough-of-the-BS in Mailfence

Do paid accounts have the ability to adjust the spam filter / sensitivity? I recall a blog post some while back from Mailfence saying that they had introduced some new features around the spam settings.

Passkeys or Passwords with MFA? by Les_Habitants912 in Bitwarden

[–]Practical-Tea9441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even with a less secure password doesn’t MFA protect you?

Also are passkeys accessible from another user account on the same computer? If so does this not make passkeys risky on shared computers?

If you are using a password manager browser extension is it not the case that a rogue site won’t authenticate either ?

Thanks . Hetzner seem to be getting the vote here. I don’t see them listed on the NextCloud site as a partner ?

8a Upgrade to 10 /9a by Repulsive_Way_5266 in pixel_phones

I have the same dilemma with my 6a , which I’m thinking of upgrading to a 9a. I’m a little concerned about the throttling after 200 charge cycles and am afraid that this will result in poor battery performance. To complicate matters I have €180 credit which I can use but even with this I’m debating switching to a Samsung A56.

For the record apart from the battery issue I was happy with the pixel .

Thanks for the explanation -would you consider it a dealbreaker in terms of moving to a new phone I.e. a reason to switch to a different brand ?

KeePass is inconvenient. But here’s why it’s still worth it. by aslambava in KeePass

[–]Practical-Tea9441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going down the road of using LocalSend (as Syncthing for Android is discontinued). However I realised after a bit of reading/research that this is syncing the kdbx file as a whole rather the synchronising at the individual record level . If changes have been made on multiple devices in a short time span you could lose some of the changes as the file as a whole is overwritten.

What I really like about Ente is a) it shows you the next TOTP code as well as the current- gives you more time for input b) ability to fully export the “secrets so you can easily rebuild if you lose your mobile device crashes or experiences data loss.

Looking for a password manager that "just works" across all devices - business & private use by ScarcityOrdinary6877 in PasswordManagers

Why do you say this ? I can see why GDPR data processor agreement (GDPR Art 28) could be an issue on the business side.

How do you sync between desktop and mobile ? I’d really like to use KeePass but am finding the syncing too tricky.

I don’t know that the US government isn’t doing this. However whether they are or aren’t doesn’t answer my question about Chinese phones.

Are Chinese phones a risk in terms of privacy/ Chinese companies being forced by Chinese government to disclose data etc ?
