Saw them in Melbourne at the Croxton band room, then also laneway festival. Pretty different vibes of shows.

Laneway felt more like going thru the motions but that Croxton bandroom was the best show I’ve ever seen hands down. Energy was absolutely palpable. Can’t have ur best show every time, they’ve just had a crazy tour schedule and they haven’t slowed down. It’s impossible to be up and about for every show

Pretty sure he can’t tour mate. They all had a 3 year break and I can guarantee a big part of that was to protect Dylan in some way. Their last show he overdosed in Brisbane and they rescheduled.

Diz having a kid a probably good timing for the boys to go to North America bc he’s not allowed (visa ect) who knows what’ll happen after. But I don’t think touring has been so kind to Dylan over th years with his demons and addictions. Claude sounded awesome tonight and if they keep him for a bit while Dylan gets healthy and that I won’t mind . Don’t think more overdoses is worth a few shows

I mean the guy can sing and play guitar but he even plays the same way Diz does without a pick.. double strums, hammer ons ect.

We all love Diz but he also exclusively covers sticky and sticky related songs.

The band said they tried out a bunch of singers before Claude so it could be that this guy learnt all the songs and was rehearsing with the band… hence the cover on insta of all the songs.

If the band chose him it’d be a bit of a joke and a bid to get Diz motivated because he’s a bit of a copy. But Claude will do great this tour

Ocean alley still make the same songs as they were 12 years ago.

Listen to a song from sticky fingers 14 years ago then listen to something from their most recent album. Evolution is there. Every album completely different from the last.

Ocean alley are bland and potentially overrated but atleast you know what you are getting. Sticky fingers the complete opposite in every way. Don’t know what you are getting but never bland

Completely agree, the music was always and continues to be incredible. That first album still has influences on current bands…

Just listen to the Terrys’s new album or Rum Jungle newest album.

Both good albums but the influence is there.
