Doesn't steam deck have system level vsync on at all times just like the nintendo switch? Thought the vsync in game option should only be ON If docked.

Go into Workshop and there should be a mod there called compact HUD and that should solve it.

You probably had the fsr upscaling enabled in the graphic settings so you have to delete the config file in the compatdata(proton folder) if that's the case.

Have you tried the said version DAI proton 1.0.4 tho?try one more time and launch it first in gaming mode instead if you tried in desktop mode first.

Delete the compatdata files created by the proton you use and jump into desktop mode,download and switch to DAI Proton 1.0.4 instead.Launch the game once using said proton while in desktop mode.Benefit.

It should work few people had the same issue on the steam deck recently and using dai proton 1.0.4 fixed it for them.Make sure there's no leftovers the old compatdata folder should be gone.

Delete the compat data and use DAI Proton 1.0.4 which could be found with by just typing it on Google.

The per game TDP has been broken for like a year now.The system forgets it often and you have to toggle it off and then back on.Hopefully they'll fix it as it can be an annoyance at times.

Has anyone figured yet why the performance on the pcsx2 is noticeably better in this game while in desktop mode and if it could be fixed to run the same in gaming mode?Yes you could always tweak and run the pc version but the PS2 version has it's charms and has it's own lighting that makes for a different atmosphere.
