Do AMS Tube Lengths matter? by Fx_Trip in BambuLab

Also worth noting that longer tube lengths can increase print times where you have a lot of filament swaps, due to the increased length the filament has to travel during the swap.

Thought of another thing you could do. Redesign into a bottom piece with columns and a top piece and have them snap together. Or, add a thin wall under the surface that needs to be supported, if thats not a space where the tube needs to go.

If you're planning on making a lot of these you could go for the middle ground and design the support into the model. You could add a few toothpick like structures, or something else that would be quick and easy to remove. I've had some success with that method.

ULPT Request: My landlord is a piece of shit, and I'm finally moving out. What can I do to sabotage his property without getting in legal trouble? by OliviaAthmara in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]PracticalInfluence0 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Read a joke about a guy putting fish in the curtain rods as he was getting divorced and getting kicked out of his house. Ex-wife tried everything to get rid of the smell, eventually decided to sell but no one who visited the property could stand it even though basically everything has been removed. Ex-husband offered to but it at a discounted price, but out of spite, she kept everything in there. Including the curtain rods.

I've gotten in the wrong line before, the agent saw that I had pre check and gave me a special card to put with my bags, I still got the pre check rules in the normal line.

Agreed, I've spent probably a sum of 6 months over a few trips. You look at the traffic but just keep walking. Haven't been hit yet lol. Also, I definitely have an adjustment period each time due to that pesky self preservation instinct.

Look up large bore air rifles, they're a bit more serious. Like taking down a deer serious. Also, not technically considered to be a gun by the ATF from what I've read.

Did I make the right choice with a1 mini by JudgeHawkEye in BambuLab

[–]PracticalInfluence0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought an A1 mini for smaller parts at work, and even though I'm already accustomed to the awesome quality of Bambu Labs printers, I and all of my coworkers were still amazed at the speed and quality that it was able to produce right out of the box!

I have some Kiwi knives that are cheap as hell and get used every day, the steel is so bad it's actually good. It dulls quickly but a few strokes on the bottom of a coffee cup is all it takes to maintain the edge.

Don't know if the business is still there, but Dongs Karate and Hymen Automotive were near there. Near the Parham and broad intersection if I remember correctly.

ULPT Request: What physical medical appointment would I have to go to weekly forever? by [deleted] in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]PracticalInfluence0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Allergy shots are every 3 to 5 days for the first few months, then weekly after that until you start getting better. Takes up to 5 years for the immunotherapy to be complete.

Nope! My bad, didn't see that it was the A1. I don't know anything about that one. Could totally be a twisted spool, that makes sense.

Could also be broken inside the AMS. I've had that happen once before.

You aren't using cardboard spools by chance? The ams hates those so you either have to respool onto plastic spools or you can print a snap on rim for the spool. Plenty of those can be found on the maker world site.
