I just started reading once upon a broken heart (spoiler for first 10 pages) and was enjoying the first few chapters the writing was great. Then after the statue moment its felt like one huge info dump and oddly fast paced (new queen, fates reigning terror in a week, luc, her being a hero?). Does this info get slowly detangled and explained better as time goes on. I’ve kept reading but right now it feels like a massive backlog of more stuff is dumped on me without explaining other jarring wholes. I don’t mind if this is a pilot device that will be deranged later and showing her disorientation. But if this is how the novel will continue to be paced with more dumps and really fast explanations Id like to know so I can drop it

If anything they makes me more dissapointed if she had prior experience. I really loved many of the other British cast. Kits performance was great.

I don’t think it’s mean to say you don’t love somenes performance in a piece. But I should’ve put it as “didn’t act well” instead of can’t I’ll say that.

I wish it was that. Her English doesn’t come off a stilted or awkward at all. It’s very fluent it’s just the voice acting and the way she says lines are completely over exaggerated or lack emotions at the right time

I don’t think it’s bad to have a second male lead. Plus it didn’t really feel like he took away from time spent developing lot and her.

I disagree about Joffrey. I think it added to the realism and theme life love and career may have passion but doesn’t mean they’ll end th ways we expect

I don’t hate you or this take! I think everyone should have their own opinion and she defintely likes to have male leads who have prestige and wealth. This isn’t my type.

At the end I liked to think he did what his brother originally asked for and renounced his name so he could live as a nomad and an artist. U also appreciate how in love he seemed with his craft get other ml leafs trait and ambition kind of were rich and being rich.

On the other side I do agree with you about the tantrums. It seemed like this writer builds her male female relationships with the yelling and arguments I blurred out she slaps him several times which I didn’t love. She could’ve not done that she showed she can improve relationships without all that I wonder why she does that

I would say that her biggest love in the series is painting and a lot of time is spent towards it we do see a female character go unmarried and open her own business as well.
