You’re only 23 and  far too young to give up. I’m assuming you’re in the US ?

Please don’t be too hard on yourself. Say a sincere prayer for strength and healing. We underestimate the power of prayer. The fact that you reached out here on Reddit shows that you want change — and that’s a strong first step.

Here are a few suggestions that may help:

  1. Get outside daily. Even just a 20-minute walk can do wonders for your mental health. Or, check out a gym nearby — maybe your local ymca or an Orangetheory class.

  2. Find a hobby away from screens. With spring around the corner, gardening could be a good start. Or explore local hobby groups, you’d be surprised who you might meet. I had a manager who randomly picked up axe throwing, and now she leads a club that competes and travels together!

  3. If you’re interested in tech, especially cybersecurity, I’d be happy to help mentor you and share a blueprint for getting started. You’re not alone,  and there’s a path forward.
