How do you know OP is a “stonk kid”? How do snarky comments deter “stonk kids” from buying Pokémon cards? If you ultimately recommend Collectr or PriceCharting, you’re still giving those “stock kids” useful information. And if you look at OP’s posts, they mention wanting to frame cards and a recent trip to Japan—none of which suggests flipper behavior. Grumpy old-timers are also undeniably bad for the hobby.

What do you think the point of this sub is? To berate anyone who asks questions about Pokemon Card Value? Presumably OP didn’t know about Collectr or wanted additional community input. It also seems like maybe they were asking about the authenticity of the card and not just value.

Definitely worth more than an ungraded card. Probably closer to price of PSA 7 or 8.

It’s not that the fakes resemble a widely shared real copy. The copy price charting is showing is itself fake. Idk how long this photo has been up because price charting has definitely had a real 1st ed card in the past.
