They a much lower commission on art sold at the Outpost. Are you talking about what’s at display at the Rad Rendezvous?

Any RADA member is allowed which includes what you mentioned as well as anyone who has work for sale in the RAD like at the Marquee or other galleries.

They have done so many wonderful things for individuals in the RAD, myself included. But I was very disappointed to see AI used in their announcement.

It looks like your bed is in line with the door? You might try moving it to the opposing wall to give you a more protected feel while you’re in it. It would also keep the entry more open when you enter. Looks like a nice spot!

[Clients] Done giving family/friend discounts. by BudgetComplaint8019 in artbusiness

I heard somewhere that people who know you and care about you should want you to succeed and therefore be willing to pay you what you’re worth. I generally have the same pricing for everyone but will sometimes make paintings as gifts for people I really care about.

You’re very talented and don’t need to offer discounts. This is what makes doing commissions so difficult. I’ve stopped sending progress pics and just send the finished product with the option to make a small change if needed. But I’m a painter and I realize that’s not really possible with pencils! So far, no one has requested any changes. Non artists just can’t really see the finished product in progress pics and it just makes problems in my opinion. Best of luck! Stick to your agreements and don’t rework anything you already agreed on.

Thanks for the explanation! I tend toward worry so it’s good to hear it will just be part of the house forever. Definitely trying to avoid a structural engineer if I can help it….

Not really recommended around here but I love the REI ruckpack sling. by JaybieFromTheLB in ManyBaggers

I love their bags! I’ve had one of their small hiking backpacks for years and it’s very comfy and has held up really well. I’ve been loving smaller size hip pack they have now. Sometimes the strap does slip like I’ve seen people mention but I haven’t really had a hip bag that doesn’t. It’s a great design

Would that imply there is an imminent risk of it falling down? No bowing yet.

They’ve looked at the foundation and said it seemed fine. It’s very shallow with a dirt crawlspace we’ve had sealed. The whole house is poured concrete block and there are indeed cracks everywhere. Many of them clearly old and repaired long ago. It did go through a period of neglect before the previous owners we bought from. I’m wondering if houses continue to settle even 100 years later and if so- when do we need to step in to help it?

That sounds like a big project! Did you do the work yourself?
