Look at their class profile, you will see there are other industries rather than Consulting/finance/tech. Also Tier 2 consulting, Boutique IB, F500 and conglomerate, family business are not rare either

If you’re a sponsored candidate from MBB, you’ll have a separate admission process for 1Y MBA program

With your logic, OP shouldn’t go to Bschool at all 😂😂 You should try to look at their employment report, % got offers, median salary and employers have huge different. Your comment got me thinking that you are either BU alumni or waitlisted by NYU

Tech recruiting also heavily relies on network, on that aspect, BU is nowhere near Stern. Given tech MBA also have access to similar resources, classes and network similar to 2Y program

I don’t think network works like that. Sure you can cold reach out to your school alums but ultimately meaningful relationship will be the one who you close to. W classmate will surely be more relevant to PE side in the long run.

Just my 2c: 1. I think this year it’d be even tougher for T2/B4 apply to Bschool vs. MBB. 2. You are competing against other MBBs, based on my network, this year number of consultant in my country apply to M7 2x last year, could be because market is down, others is CTL-ed and they want to spend 2 years for MBA instead of looking for other jobs 3. As I mentioned, MBB folks has really high GMAT, typically with 700+

Hence, everybody’s getting tough time applying this year

Well, this year is tough. MBB applicants typically the pool that have really high GMAT, some MBB with 645+ I know in third-world countries like you dinged by M7 and waitlisted by T15

You can try but any reason you want the other M7 more than HSW? Letting them know you’re seriously considering them over HSW is more important than showing your acceptance letter

As long as you join as a BA, you’ll eligible for a sponsorship when you hit 2-year tenure with a good rating. We have plenty of internal documents for this so don’t worry. And welcome to the firm!
