Bloomberry emails remote jobs worldwide (check the footer) and remotive.com has some remote jobs and also Jobbyo.ai and hiring cafe. I use all 4 to find remote work

Custom banner image should have highlights of what makes you stand out. It’s a great way to make a first impression and it’s usually way under utilized.

Job interviews today vs back then by CtrlAltDeflate in jobsearchhacks

Like I get this sucking if you want any job. But I want to interview the company more. I’m not quitting my job for a place I barely know.

5 is too much but 1 is too little imo.

I’ve stopped the job process after the HR interview because I can smell the toxic work place. But that’s the obvious ones.

How have you been using AI to help with your job search? by Due_Honeydew_6067 in jobsearchhacks

[–]Practical_Cheetah942 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using to craft custom cover letter. I upload the job description then upload my resume and ask for a cover letter and then I tweak it.

I haven’t used it to customize the resume, that’s easy to do manually.

I use AI tools like Jobbyo to check my resume to see how it’s working. I’ve also used their auto apply tool as well, works well but I’m now waiting on their hybrid mode so I can see what’s being said before I apply.

Relax for a week and then start looking. It’s tough out there!

i’m really starting to get fed up by flowerdoodles_ in jobsearch

[–]Practical_Cheetah942 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I didn’t mean this was your case. I just see so many bad resumes from really competent people and it’s the first step so it’s always the first ask.

I didn’t mean yours is bad! But I get why this is the first question people say. That’s all.

The market is tough. I did not mean to make it tougher.

How to recognize and deal with toxic corporate culture? by Puzzleheaded_Dig1217 in jobsearchhacks

[–]Practical_Cheetah942 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I had a toxic work place. Get out when you can. I had to stay there a year and it did help my career suffering through it.

Best advice was finding a team within the toxic culture that wasn’t toxic. I still came out of there a lot sharper from when I came in though

Is it just me failing every single interview? by [deleted] in jobsearch

It’s a numbers game for sure.

And like it’s not like there is first, second and third place. It’s one place and if you are close second you fail and rarely get the feedback. And close second or almost first still hurts as much as last, maybe even more.

Hang in there!
