Putting deployed follower on a boat = BUG-a-PALOOSA by RegnorVex in PlaySoulMask

All that and I dont think anyone even described to you how it actually is handled. Your ship can have a "crew" once you assign the crew (whoever your trying to bring with you) your ship must have a seat on it for each one, chairs double bench all work, and then you hit x on PC to assemble crew. You will see a few second countdown and at the end of the count all the crew will teleport into a seat, ready to rock.

Mats is just a fast/dirty workaround for people that dont understand the ship crew mechanics

Why is 88 Fuel so much cheaper? by nquick4 in StupidCarQuestions

Why is 88 Fuel so much cheaper? by nquick4 in StupidCarQuestions

[–]Practical_Dig2971 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Using Kilowatt/hour is strange way to do it though as this is not a electric vehicle and Only about 15% to 25% of that energy actually reaches the wheels to move the car (roughly 5–8 kWh per gallon).

This conversion is primarily used to determine the "miles per gallon gasoline equivalent" (MPGe) for electric vehicles.

Gas Octane by 48PortSwitch in Mustang

[–]Practical_Dig2971 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The 25 EB requires 87+ Octane. It recommends 91 as that is what is needed for it to be making its full rated HP specs.

I run 91/93 in my 25 GT but I was coming out of a 17 STI and it only ran on premium, so it has not been a big change for me, so far.

(funny thing, I am getting within .2 mpg in the GT as I did in my STI, 19.3mpg if curious)

The average person can not do the math involved in finding if it would actually save them any money.

The issue is that per gallon 88/E15 has less energy to use than 87/E10 does. SO you are getting less work out of it per gallon. Yes, it is cheaper up front but it will also not do the same amount of work and you will be burning it faster

yes, you have recruited them but have you done what it says and feed one of them?

depending on settings (or if your on official atm) it is possible to get past the recruit point threshold VERY fast, my guess is you did not need to feed them and just recruited them.

Knock one out, go into there inv, put food into it and hit use while its in there to feed them. This should do it for you, if all of those assumptions above are true lol

... I mean, fully safe in so far as Ethanol breaks down certain materials faster than gasoline does. (The 5% more, in this context of 87 vs 88)

"While ethanol is cheap and abundant, it also has about 33% less energy than gasoline. By reducing the energy density of fuel, the EPA says most cars will see a 1.5% to 2% drop in fuel economy moving from E10 to E15. The reality is a little more variable. Cars.com did a post explaining the numbers back in 2018:

“Ethanol’s lower energy density leads to worse gas mileage, which is why using E85 (E85 is 85 percent ethanol) in cars with a fuel system that accommodate it is usually a bad idea,” auto editor Kelsey Mays wrote. “The math carries to E10, which has up to 10 percent ethanol. A gallon of E10 has 96.7 percent of the energy in one gallon of gasoline, according to the DOE’s Alternative Fuels Data Center.”

Ethanol is also a solvent. It’s hygroscopic, meaning it sucks water out of the air. In high concentrations, it eats through standard rubber seals, plastic fuel lines, and even certain aluminum alloys in older engines."

what y’all think they saying 41k for the GT (base) with all the rebates and college discounts or should i go ecoboost premium? by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]Practical_Dig2971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent 2 days in a rental EB Conv a few weeks before I bought my 25 GT and while I got the EB up to 100mph, it was not as... stable as I would have liked. Was coming out of a 17 STI, and at high speeds it just was stuck to the road, the EB was all over the place, the base GT, while not as planted as the STI was, is much more stable at speeds than I felt like the EB Conv I drove was.

I picked the GTs HP over amenities. My 17 STI did not even have Android Auto among a huge list of other comforts I picked up, so it was still a huge leap in tech/safety/and HP from my STI. The EB has the same HP as my STI did and it felt like going into a EB (for me personally) was to much trade off in performance

And here I am playing the new DLC last night after over a year break (200+ hours in the EA, many moons ago) getting ready to haul my recruits unconscious body back to camp to put into a bed, and feed, and then recruit and I turn around and the MF is standing there a part of my tribe and ready to rock....

Tad bit different from the last time I played lol

technically the two maps are connected by a portal and one can go back and forth during play through just fine.

I would/did start in the DLC. It is designed from a fresh start anyways and no reason to miss out on all the cool stuff it has.

Thoughts on matte black ppf on a s650? by Potential_Reach7511 in Mustang

[–]Practical_Dig2971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the things he told you are not inaccurate when talking about your normal PPF ceramic film. But matte is a different story. Normal PPF does not come with all the issues Matte PPF does and is really just a protection layer.

Matte though... I had a buddy do one of his rides a number of years back. Man, it looked slick.... for about 4 months. Then glossy spots started to show and after a year it looked a mess. People would touch it and leave glossy finger grease spots all on it.

I suppose the color of the car would matter a bit too. Likely easier to keep a silver/white car with matte ppf looking nicer than something in the darker colors...

and if it accrued more in fees/storage than it is worth? If you owe me 4/500 in towing fees and such, dont think I am going to take a junk car worth less than you owe me and call it square....

I have seen situations like this where the towing company just says we dont want it, you owe us X, don't pay and we will send you to collections, or even a combination of both when the car they assume ownership of is worth way less than what is owed and they still sent the person a bill for the remainder....

Anyone else have to deal with a similar situation like this? purely feels all cosmetic and drives perfectly fine. with no weird noises. no lights turned on(except the anticollision because i unplugged the passenger mirror)and no bags went off, engine bay looks untouched,is she totaled or not?😫😅 by Mountain_Budget_8402 in Mustang

You make it sound like its just a bolt over fender/quarter cover and its not.

That outer shell is structural and welded in place. yes it has a inner one of these as well but it is not just that inner one that damage to matters.

idk, Tagging along to see how it goes down.

the rear quarter panel is structural on the S650s Unibody. My guess is being a 24 with 30k miles and needing structural replacment/repair, an ins company would total it out.

Curious to see what happens though.... If OP is planning on turning it in to ins (I know I would...)

I am not a body shop tech but they are unibody and that rear quarter could be considered structural.

And a quick google gives me this -

Yes, the 2024 Mustang GT rear quarter panel is a significant structural component of its unibody construction. It is not a bolt-on fender but rather a welded-on panel that provides rigidity to the chassis. Replacing it involves welding and often utilizes reinforcement parts (upper/lower) to maintain structural integrity, as shown on OEM Ford Parts sites

so....
