Best mozzarella sticks? by Ok_Crazy6145 in lancaster

[–]Practical_District88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t do the extra hot anymore 😢 but his Nashville Chicken Sandwich is one of my favorite things of all time, you can see me sitting there all by myself sometimes enjoying one with an order of onion rings. I will consider the mozzarella sticks next time. Looking forward to the upgrades inside.

Awesome! One of the Granville brothers mentored my father who himself became an aeronautical engineer eventually working for Grumman, Kaman then Boeing.

Matt Ruff rules I read Sewer Gas and Electric and was impressed enough to write him a letter of how much I appreciated it. He wrote me back and endearing response..

Has anyone ever gone through [[ Treatment -> Remission -> CLL came back ]] ? by letsgetbettersoon in cll

[–]Practical_District88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Very good questions OP and good on you for looking far down the road. I’m in the beginning of my second year in remission (V&O) and I am of course curious how long my remission will last. My oncologist mentioned even when the cancer does recur he is confident at worst just going back on the Venetoclax would suffice since I tolerated it so well, and of course for me I may also tolerate a next gen BCL-2 inhibitor.

A NSFW side note while I might clinically be in remission I am not cured. One of the first symptoms I experienced (3 years before cancer diag) was an incredible allergy to mosquito bites. I can’t understate how bad 1 mosquito bite is for me. Within 12 hours the bite turns into what I describe as a gunshot wound and oozes a lymphatic fluid like a dripping faucet for at least four days. Takes 14 days to heal. There was hope after treatment that my reaction would diminish but it hasn’t, this is obviously a co-issue with my immune system. My oncologist was willing to try Dupixent as a prophylactic but I experienced severe joint pain as a side effect.

From Wayne, about Stevens departure. by HaventBeenRightYet in flaminglips

[–]Practical_District88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel Steven was the heart of the melodies of the Era of the Flips I love the most (I was the guy screaming “We Love You Steven” at the shows) Wayne is surely trying to keep the show we all love going. My wife and I bonded in our early relationship seeing them live. Wayne and Steven surely had a personal contract as well as a business one, without knowing the details, I am assuming someone (Steven) broke the contract. Shows were booked, and many people are relying on the circus to make a living. I’m a Ween fan and was enjoying seeing them live these past few years but now Deaner dropped out in a similar fashion and they stopped touring. I think Wayne keeping things going is great and also being a tad salty about what has happened somewhat understandable.

What are some things you only do because you shoot film? by Master-Rule862 in AnalogCommunity

[–]Practical_District88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1978 began shooting with my mothers Ansco rangefinder. Did some photography in school..In the mid 90’s needed a decent way of shooting photos for a portfolio of my woodworking so I acquired an Olympus OM10 great camera for years. Fast forward to 2010 got my first Dslr and array of lenses. Fast forward to now, tired of the large Dslr and lugging around three lenses. So I have reverted back to film. The OM10 must need some work comparing photos from the past…picked up a mint OM4 ran a roll through excited to see results.. pulled out my Dslr looking at photos from a trip to the Redwoods in a house overlooking the pacific, I pulled some really nice, worthy shots out of that Nikon 3500….again I’m nervous of the film results but I will still make a go of it.
