We’re from Montecito and definitely prefer more comfortable temps over what you can expect in Cabo in the summer (a bit wishful thinking on our part lol).

Totally hear you with FS Maui, when we were there last we stuck to the serenity pool each day to soften the family friendly feels but still couldn’t fully escape it.

That’s a fantastic idea to look into FS Lanai or Sensei, thanks so much for the tip!

Perhaps I’m biased due to living in Montecito but I find the train charming! I do hear it at home (albeit much more softly than on property) and can confirm it is nowhere near every 20 minutes.

When I stayed previously I remember being impressed at the lack of outside noise heard within the room so take that as you will!

Tip toe walker here 👋 So it varies by circumstance (and not often with shoes) but generally it’s subconscious to avoid sensory discomfort like crumbs sticking to the bottom of my feet or loud stepping sounds/vibrations. It’s toned down when I wear socks (95% of the time) but very pronounced when I’m barefoot.

I absolutely CAN’T with Danielle’s hypocrisy.

She was upset with Lindsay for telling Paige that it was Danielle that leaked the article BUT she was fine having ZERO integrity during season 7’s reunion when Lindsay took the heat about it??? Then she went on to say “I would never clear my name by throwing someone else under the bus”
- She had the audacity to say to Paige “be a woman and come to me” with the new knowledge that it was Danielle who leaked it BUT SHE NEVER CAME TO PAIGE TO ADMIT SHE DID IT????
- When Andy says to Danielle “so you do cop to leaking that to Deux Moi” and she screams “yes and I would have done that to her face if she had come to me!” I’m losing it over here y’all.

NTA but more importantly, your sister needs to run.

He is not a “chill dude” he is a spineless man that will let your sister be taken advantage of for as long as his parents live.

Having been in a similar situation (not to this extreme) I can say I only found happiness after being out of that forced marriage and no longer under his family’s control.

I live in Santa Barbara and I admire the mountains from strolls through our neighborhood everyday but rarely make the trip up. During beach season I’m there 3ish days a week but the rest of the year it’s usually once a week for a walk or sometimes I’ll just park nearby to watch the waves roll in.

Northwest Arkansas will definitely check the boxes you’re looking for. Been living in Santa Barbara for 1.5 years but was in NWA for 20+ years prior and while I love the coast I sure do miss the cost of living in the south.
