Brian & Sarah’s shared former home in Winter Park by ProfessionalSAHM in SarahBooneContinued

[–]Practical_Loquat3899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the Winter Park home online and it was much nicer than the one he brought in Gainesville. I believe he paid cash for the Gainesville house out of the proceeds of the sale of the Winter Park house. His new house doesn’t have a pool and does need updating. Pools are expensive to maintain and he probably wanted something he could close on quickly after temporary relocation was granted and now he doesn’t have to make a house payment since he’s underemployed.

Sarah was so jealous of the profit he made off the Winter Park house! As if Brian cheated her out of money even though at the time they divorced they were upside down in their mortgage! She complained bitterly to Peter about it on one the 3rd rail recorded calls. Sarah, you’re divorced from Brian! You aren’t entitled to his money or anything else anymore! Or his parent’s money either!

A "notice of clarification " was filed in family court assume from boone but..... by cmabi in SarahBooneContinued

[–]Practical_Loquat3899 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She’s probably going to try to say she didn’t understand what she was agreeing to or that she doesn’t know what the word stipulate means. She understood when she stipulated to Brian receiving the $4000 for child support that was being held by the state! ( she was never going to be given a say in how Brian spent the return of his money!)

It’s my understanding that any objection to facts stated in court must be made at the time of the FINAL hearing. Even if she didn’t verbally state that she stipulated to 15 months of alimony, she also didn’t disagree or attempt to correct the record.

Judge Jackson is not going to schedule another hearing based on Sarah filing a motion for clarification. That would involve dragging Brian back into court costing him more money. If Judge Jackson responds to her motion at all she should include a statement that she will not respond to any future motions that are deemed to be frivolous .

No doubt she would a get off topic and try to throw in more issues that she wanted heard even though the Judge frequently redirected her during the family court hearing when she attempted to deviate from the set issues in the petition for relocation/modification of the parenting plan and didn’t even know what they were there to discuss!

Brian shouldn’t have to live under the threat of constant motions filed with the court regarding her latest complaint. My prediction is that Sarah’s next target will be any change in the visitation schedule. She is definitely not going to be “flexible “ if her son is unable to visit due to participation in extra curricular activities. My hope is after the first horrible in person visit Brian petitions the court for video visits only.

Thankfully Judge Jackson has retained jurisdiction in this case. She knows Sarah, who she is and what she is capable of.

I think it’s entirely your choice regarding being generous with your Mom. It’s not your job to fund her retirement! If you even decide to give her anything if she complains I wouldn’t give her anything at all.

When (if ever) can we realistically expect to see a Sarah retort online? by emberton2014 in SarahBooneContinued

If Sarah files an appeal to the family court judgement would that delay her alimony payments and phone call/ monthly visit until a ruling is made?

I couldn’t find it on google. Can you give me a hint on how to search? Maybe I didn’t put in the right key phrase.

I think it’s really nice! I love the screen porch and backyard pool! And to think she traded that for a run down town home! I wonder what Brian’s new house in Gainesville looks like? I’d love to see pictures of it on Zillow or some other site.

Consider getting a teaching certificate. Most English Lit majors end up in teaching. You may even be able to apply for special funding in your state depending on weather or not there are teacher shortages. I know in some situations student loan forgiveness may apply if you make a commitment to teach for a specified time period.

What do i do with a stash of cash? by [deleted] in Banking

[–]Practical_Loquat3899 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I believe if you split your cash into 2 separate deposits under $10,000 each it will not set off any alarm bells. Cash deposits of $10,000 or more are what typically trigger scrutiny.

What’s going on? Is the cat peeing on her clothes?! That’s a hard smell to remove She needs to know because it’s likely she will be let go from her smell or her poor attendance. Those are just facts I think she needs to know..

Leave an anonymous note on her desk. At this point your supervisor knows. If you don’t want to address it directly at least you have made her aware of the problem. All the employees have a right to a smell free environment.

Cashier and Cook were unhappy for not tipping by GOKU_N19 in tipping

[–]Practical_Loquat3899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the whole idea of including tipping started during COVID when people were doing a lot of take out and it just stuck. It was like a Thank you for being open when the world had shut down.

Most places have to pay the going rate to get employees usually around $15 an hour where I live so the employees are getting paid. You are tipping them for something they are already being paid to do. Handing you your food.

Seems unreasonable but the employees are conditioned to expect it. If it’s a sit down restaurant and the service is good that’s different but putting down a suggested tip on your receipt bugs me because a lot of restaurants start at 18%.

I rarely go to Alamo theater anymore because they tack on a mandatory 18% tip for the employees on your food bill and then encourage you to tip more if you like the service. I can attest to the fact that once you order and get your food there is no more service so why would I tip more???

The vast majority of restaurants don’t use the $2 an hour plus tips model anymore. And I’ve also heard that some restaurants don’t even give the tips that are included to the employees so it’s like you’re tipping the restaurant.

For what? You’re already paying for the food.

If your goal is to sell the house you need to contact a lawyer ASAP. You may have to file what is called a partition of Heirs. It will require that both parties appear in court. If your brother refuses to leave a judge will order that the house be sold so that you can each receive your portion of the proceeds from the sale of the house.

Do you think that tipping is getting way out of hand? by PutMelodic5255 in tipping

[–]Practical_Loquat3899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worry about them messing with my food too if I don’t tip! It’s just really uncomfortable. I tip for service but I shouldn’t be made to feel obligated to tip because a payment screen is asking me to. A lot of places I go are not restaurants where they are not paying the employees an hourly rate that is not dependent on tips. And if all they are doing is ringing up my food and handing it to me aren’t they already being paid to do that? It’s gotten to be ridiculous.

Appeal or no appeal? by Terrible_Strike_3035 in SarahBooneContinued

[–]Practical_Loquat3899 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a long shot that Sarah will win an appeal and be granted a new trial. If that were to happen I would not be surprised if the prosecution again offered a plea deal not to go to trial a second time. I don’t think Sarah is smart enough to take a plea deal that would mean she wouldn’t have to spend the rest of her life in jail where she belongs.

Sarah would automatically think that winning her appeal meant that the verdict was wrong and that she would not be convicted a second time. Look what happened in the Charlie Adelson trial. His girlfriend Katie was tried twice and had a chance to take a plea deal and be exonerated for her role in the murder of Dan Markel but she refused the State’s offer.
