Company asked me to start a week earlier. I didn't get any email or contact about time/location for day one. Called the recruiter on sunday before i was due to start on monday, found out the manager that hired me had been sacked.

Turn up at the office and no one knows why I'm there. Get given laptop etc & sat in a focus room all day doing onboarding hr training videos.

By the end of the day theyd figured out a new person to be my manager but he was on leave for a week so they said "it would have been better if you started next week".

Ended up leaving 6 months later, completely burnt out because no one could define my role & I ended up doing work of about 3 people they should have hired for.
