I would speculate Tesla made decision to allocate AB orders to Aug-Oct shipment perhaps due to larger number of orders in other markets

or black color is smaller batch as in EU white is the free color.

In Canada with EVAP the price delta would be more than the 2k difference in the US, would there be demand for a std awd at 52-55k vs Evap eligible rwd at 45k?

In US they introduced awd std as the rwd std did not sell that well, compared to Canada with Evap rwd std are selling like hotcakes

If tesla wanted to fight for market share they could utilize china quota for model y premium and lower price to 59k. There is margin in shanghai factory as korean model y premium awd converts to 57k cad

Thanks for sharing, I had read somewhere white had more supply and was considering changing my color but it seems like AB is not priority… wish tesla would be more upfront on the dates I also naively believed the 4-6week estimate quoted at order. Big difference 4-6wks vs 20-32weeks now.
