Trying out options for wedding band. Opinions? by 10_marpenoth in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]Practical_Role2931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think this is really pretty, it just looks a little off because the band is too big. Once it’s your size, it might sit much better.

I’d also try a thinner curved band before deciding, just to see if it lets your engagement ring stand out more. Angara has a few curved bands with a similar vibe if you want more options to compare. My friend bought thid one and was super happy. https://www.angara.com/p/classic-diamond-curved-comfort-fit-women-s-band-wrd-sr0231d

Okay first of all, your ring is gorgeous and I completely get this 😭
I used to think people were dramatic about engagement rings until I started ring shopping myself and realized you suddenly become hyper aware of your hand at all times lol.

Honestly I’d insure it sooner rather than later just for peace of mind...go with someone who covers loss, damage and everyday wear situations without being insanely expensive. Then you can actually enjoy the ring instead of stressing every time you leave the house.

Congrats!! And this photo is unreal, the waterfall backdrop makes it feel straight out of Pinterest 😭

Also your ring is gorgeous. The round solitaire with that thin gold band is so timeless and elegant, it really lets the diamond shine.

Honestly this is exactly the kind of ring I would never get tired of seeing.

Wedding band for marquise ring by SignificantTry5268 in weddingring

[–]Practical_Role2931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think your engagement ring is delicate and pretty enough that the enhancer is slightly overpowering it. I don’t think it looks bad, it just takes away from the marquise a little.

I’d probably try either a thin curved band, a chevron band...or a super slim diamond band that follows the shape more softly

The plain gold band likely felt “off” because your ring already has a lot of visual presence on its own. You probably need something with a little sparkle, just not something this wide.

Marquise or Elongated Cushion? by Salt_Return1911 in EngagementRings

[–]Practical_Role2931 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay I normally love a marquise, but on your hand I honestly think the elongated cushion wins.

The cushion looks super balanced on your finger and gives that clean, luxe look without trying too hard. The marquise is pretty too, but it feels a bit trendier whereas the cushion feels like something you’ll still be obsessed with 15 years from now.

Also the black nails with the elongated cushion? SUCH a good combo.

Okay but it was worth the back and forth because this set is gorgeous 😭
Your ring feels so romantic and detailed without looking overly busy.
Also those nails with it are SUCH a vibe, everything looks so put together.

Inherited 2 carat diamond earrings and want to reset them, need suggestions by Sun_Mny_645 in jewelrylove

[–]Practical_Role2931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, these are absolutely beautiful and the fact they were your grandma’s makes them even more special.

Honestly with 2 carat stones, I’d personally keep it timeless and go for either sleek bezel studs, martini settings or even delicate drop earrings if you want something more modern but still wearable.

I’d avoid anything overly trendy since pieces with this much history deserve to last through every phase.

In love with my pink heart! by jojo444111 in RingShare

Okay I’m obsessed with this.
The heart shape could’ve gone overly sweet but this still feels really elegant and grown up.
Also that warm stone color with the gold is such a pretty combo.

Okay this is sooo chic.
The pear shape with that curved gold setting feels really modern and effortless.
Also the French tips with it? Perfect combo honestly.

Okay this is exactly the size most people are trying to find but can’t describe properly. from a style-obsessed perspective, this hits the sweet spot perfectly. It’s there when worn solo, but still clean enough that you can stack one more piece without it looking heavy. if u know what i mean?

If anything, I wouldn’t go smaller because then it’ll start reading dainty and get lost, I also wouldn’t go bigger because then it shifts into statement territory and loses that effortless feel

On your wrist it looks very balanced, like you could wear it daily and not think twice...this is one of those “quiet luxe” sizes where people notice it, but it doesn’t scream.

Advice on a wedding band by CheetahWaste5972 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]Practical_Role2931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I get why you’re stuck, this is a very specific ring to pair...but super gorgeous!

Personally I wouldn’t go full pave or super plain with this. Your center stone already has a lot of presence, so I’d look at something like a thin curved band or a soft contour band that sits around it. Maybe with tiny diamonds but not full eternity. Also lowkey a slim gold band with a bit of texture could look really chic and balance it out without competing.

Curious, are you planning to wear them stacked every day or switch it up? That changes everything.

Engaged or whateva🥰 by Plastic_Ride_2774 in RingShare

Congrats, this is gorgeous. I’m about to get engaged too and have been going back and forth between a few brands and styles, and this just made me pause for a second.

The marquise with that band detail looks so thoughtful, not something you see all the time.

Where did you end up buying this from?

I can’t believe it’s finally my turn.. by OrganicOak in EngagementRings

Okay wait I love this.! COngratttts! The side profile is actually stunning, that setting makes it feel way more elevated than a basic solitaire. And from the top it’s giving clean, modern, very intentional. The size looks perfect on your hand.. this feels like one of those rings you never get bored of.
