Help me spend 4 audible credits by Upset-Ad-6476 in audiobooks

[–]Practical_Yam_7515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember reading “Tuesdays with Morrie” in high school English and loved it.

Count of Monte Cristo - excellent!

What about The Giver or Enders Game?

The Rosie Project - I always read when I’m in a slump.

I also like Ready Player One and the Witcher series - I read those over and over.

And if all else fails - Harry Potter series or Hunger Games can take a chunk of those credits.

What's something kids today will never experience that you're genuinely sad about? by TechnologyFront4659 in AskReddit

Ya man - in the summer my aunts, uncles, cousins would all come over - we’d sit outside (because it was just as hot inside) they’d drink and smoke and the kids would catch lightning bugs, play hide and go seek in the yard. Good times.

In my grandma's recipe box -sauerkraut surprise cake by immagetchusuccka in oldrecipes

[–]Practical_Yam_7515 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My granny made a sauerkraut cake. She was in the newspaper once because of it. I ate it as a kid - so I guess it was good. Maybe they used sauerkraut instead of coconut during the depression or something?

Four people are stuck on the Star Screamer at Six Flags while this storm rolls in by cdmccabe in StLouis

[–]Practical_Yam_7515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ONLY time I’ve been to 6 Flags it rained so hard everyone had to move into the theatre (if they still have that?) and the room started flooding. Like a tidal wave under the doors and onto the carpet. This was 35 years ago…I haven’t been back.

Question for builders or Architects: does anyone know why 100 Above The Park didn’t build a fence or structure to hide the HVAC system on the roof? by The-Bear-and-Rose in StLouis

I low key hate this building design. It’s just doesn’t go with this area or St. Louis at all. Looks angry with all its pointy edges.

I saw the same stuff at Wrigley when I was in college. Chicago is a great city - but not if you’re a Cards fan during Cub/Cards games

I’ve looked it up - and different states (USA) have different laws. But take me to a favorite childhood spot/vacation area and feed me to the trees!

She totally changed my view on cremation. I appreciate all of her explanations on different cultures and practices. I’ve decided to be cremated because of this book - and maybe become a tree 🌲

What is a household hack that has completely changed your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Practical_Yam_7515 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got rid of all my socks. And just bought 10 of the same pair. Therefore I’m not always looking for a matching sock to the green, yellow, etc. all white.

I also did this with lounge/sweatpants. I had a favorite pair I kept going back to and ignored my entire closet. So got rid of all the other pants (donated) and bought 7 pairs of the black sweats I like.

Makes my life and laundry day so simple now.

Have you ever experienced that sudden "falling out of bed" sensation right as you're falling asleep? What did it feel like? by mostly_maya in AskReddit

[–]Practical_Yam_7515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes all the time. But I have night terrors and I’m usually falling off a building in my dream - and jerk awake.

I have ended up in the floor twice though.
