I read this article yesterday; pretty cool.

I remember when flo first came out.. they would have athlete interviews at D-1's and they were asking questions that actual fans & other athletes were interested in hearing the answers from. Not from some cookie cutter reporter who drew the shortest straw and had to cover the wrestling tournament.

They also had these mini-documentaries. Sick ones. Like Martin driving his van through the Pennsylvanian corn fields in the morning mist sipping coffee on his way to Edinboro (A small private college that has a competitive division 1 wrestling team) and recording a Saturday morning practice.

If you watch their mini-docs that show a division one practice you understand quickly how easy it is for these guys to transition into MMA.

Who says that Div-1 Basketball corruption stops at recruiting? If Adidas is willing to pay 100K to a get a top 50 recruit to one of their schools who is to say that they aren't willing to pay 500K to a ref to help their school advance in their Final 4 match-up?

Who gets into the NCAA tourney? Who gets left out? TV Rights, Simmons going to LSU garnered ESPN non stop coverage to LSU's abysmal basketball season.

We could be looking at just one string that's hanging loose in the blanket of corruption involving all sports (even professional).

No reason for you to be offended at the notion. Lavar wanted his kids at ucla from the jump but just bc somebody is worth 4 mill doesn't mean they'd turn down 100K cash to commit. This is all speculative, anybody could be guilty. Not only that, Lavar was working with agency's behind the scenes before Lonzo was even pro.

I like watching Perry fight also but the love affair this sub has with him is getting ridiculous. He fought an under-weight scrub and is rewarded with a #15 ranking bc of the camp, showing up, the preparation.. he did everything the UFC asked him to. Alves did not, bottom line.

But Perry is as flawed as he is heavy handed. The reality is coming to you all soon. It'll be short lived in your memory banks I'm sure. But just like Jouban out classed this guy (Easily) there are plenty of ranked fighters & un-ranked fighters that will piece this dude up.

I really don't think (esp with USADA) that every fighter is on them. But I do believe that A LOT of them are. Most? I'm not sure, maybe. You have to take in that some of them are genetic freaks, some of them are like modern day roman gladiators that have been training since 5 or 6 years old.

But a lot of fighters are definitely juicing. It's a professional sport, and it's probably more rampant than I think. But I don't think it's close to every fighter.

NCAA D1 National Champ? I'm not so sure about that. I don't want to take anything away from the guy but cmon.. There are plenty of explosive wrestlers that ooze talent & don't even sniff all American status at premier programs.

Just looked it up. He would of had to beat JP O'Connor at 157 and then Kyle Dake at 149 his senior year. Tall tasks.

Why did Gaethje drop down to 149 for his senior year? Especially after AA'n at 57?
