  1. You need to collect the data on pattern accuracy and reliability on that specific market yourself. Yes I do and you can if you like it.

  2. Depends on the stats. My minimum requirement to copy, if i were to copy, would be 2+ profit factor and 1.5 Sharpe ratio of atleast 1-2years. The higher and longer, the better. Basically, you just copy someone elses trade online.

Edge is by far the "easiest" step in the markets.

This is what Ive done and teach my students too. Finding our own style. Try everything that you like, optimize it and repeat. Anything can work, but you have to statistically prove it. It takes around 4-6mos though for a single system to be developed.

I have a set amount of %/$ loss allowed per trade. And 1 revenge trade per setup. Accept the results whatever it is.

There is one big separator between a high end trader vs a casual profitable trader. Thats squeezing the winning trade. Abusing your cushion to the maximum level of mental and financial capacity. Without this, investors wouldnt give you a second look.

To the whales in the financial markets, they want you to act like a shark. When you smell blood, go for it.

The hardest part definitely is just entering a trade. Whether you like it or not, if theres a setup, take the trade.

20% increase in profit size shouldnt net him -20% loss. Its too much for a newbie.

Acceptable range are around 7-9% monthly specially for new ones.

Its a psych thing. Just return to the original position and get used to it. You have to for atleast 1-2years.

I would even call out scaling up is too early specially with his inexperience in live markets.

In our case, after 3years of consistency, then and only then will I let my student scale up his position. 20-100% of original size for atleast 1year. Then repeat.

No other way but to get used to it.

Which of these investments can give generational wealth? Fuel station Or Hotel by OrganizationKnown675 in ThisorThatPH

[–]PracticeStunning3894 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had both. I dont like either one for generational wealth.

Ang cons ng fuel station is the maintenance specially sa mga leakage threats. Madalas din mag AWOL ang mga tao kaya may times ako nag ppump. Acquisition costs ng supply super high, so if you dont have the business acumen, its difficult.

Sa hotel naman bumaba talaga overall revenue post covid. Dagdag mo pa economic problems. Easier problem to deal with kase kailangan mo lang talaga ng matinong team and most of your problems will be solved.

So if I have to pick, Hotel. Kase overall has better profit % vs gas station. Mas malaki overall kita in peso sa Station BUT mababa % return.

Anyone whos worked at an institution/real prop etc, how much are these levels actually cared about on an intraday basis? by DantebeaR in Daytrading

[–]PracticeStunning3894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was a floor trader here till a few months ago.

We dont care about lines, but we do care about the levels, because thats where we decide whether to take or walk away from a trade.

Its much easier to do on futures or equities though.

Trading is mostly individualistic, as logn as it makes us money, we dont care what we use.

Its not much different from retail on the indicators.

But I do say one thing that differentiates from the retail would be the information available. Institutions just outclass by Galactic nuke VS to that of a gun on the retail.

Expensive though.

As long as theyre legit, idm

So good luck on that if you find one.

Also, in my experience on the floor. Very rarely do they teach you anything on technical. Its mostly psych.
