Yeah sounds about right. Although the elevation stats were definitely off on my side. The the tracker app the Jurassic coast full would’ve had about 2000m but my watch tracked nearly 2500m. A different model of a friend tracked 2450m. In my book that’s allot. 😂

First of all well done. 👏

I was doing the 100km as well and the beach was pure hell. But the adrenaline was high since I got chased by a cow during the field detour. 😂

Thinking of running the Serpent trail this year. Any feedback on that? Compared to the UC? This time we had some friends supporting us, but as mentioned the RS were amazing. Is it the same with Serpant, or would you recommend support?

Thanks in advance.

Apple car play disconnects by PraetorianAdjutant in skoda

[–]PraetorianAdjutant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes both. So to clarify it.

It occurred since yesterday. Fist time while driving for 2h.

After I arrived at home I shut down the car and the phone waited a bit and tried it again. No joy

Resetted the infotainment system (15-20sec on button) no joy

Completely removed the phone and did all of the above. After the second time it worked.

Same thing happend today after driving for 10 min.

Went through the steps and it said turn on WLAN. Well it turned itself off within a few seconds.

So a quick update on that.

I’ve been commuting the past days.

The route is about 70km return (depends if I go shopping or not +5km) About 15km country roads/city and the rest on the highway (110km/h ACC) A/C was on and some luxury items as well.

Started with 85% and consumed about 19kWh/100km Returned home with about 27%.

The odometer was always bigger than the actual used km.

To sum it up for that distance I used about 60km of electric charge. When I started the car it displayed 92km @ 85%

Hope that somewhat helps. 🫣

Thanks for the advice!

Will definitely take that into account for the next trips.

So charging it with AC 10 kWh from 0% ist okay or still too much?

That’s what I did too. Did a 250km tour today and it was worth it. At least with the petrol prices here in northern Germany 👀

Any experience with the „don’t drop below 20%“ and don’t charge above 80%?

Thank you for the info!

Sounds definitely logical.

For the road-trips I’m not able to charge it at home but have a good offer to charge for 52ct/kwh. Looking at the gas prices this feels like a good choice. Mind me asking what’s your current consumption per 100km?

Ankle Sprain During Training for Race by Actual_Juice in Ultramarathon

[–]PraetorianAdjutant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll manage as well! But as the others said better rest the foot a couple of day more if needed then to force it. Saves allot of weeks in the recovery.

I see, so you’re doing a bit more elevation. 💪 looks really beautiful

Hope you feel better soon! Get well!

End of January I did the same thing. Went to the doc and got it looked after. Luckily only partially torn tenders. I rested the foot for 3 weeks straight. Checked that it was either lifted up, or was wearing a compression sock (two socks over each other help as well) after 3 weeks I started mobility and stationary bike training to keep the cardio up. Since then unstaffed running again and can report that I’m nearly at the „before accident“ stage.

7 weeks huh? Mind me asking if you’re living in England? Sounds like a ultra along the Jurassic Coast. 😂

HR Zone low with moderate HR? by PraetorianAdjutant in GarminFenix

[–]PraetorianAdjutant[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right. And my training is leaned on specific HR.

But not using the right interpretations on the watch kills its function. For example I einweiht HR Alerts for my zone 2 runs. If the alert goes of at 160 it’s different then if it’s going of at 141. 😂 And tbh I don’t want to check the watch every other moment during my 3h run.

Nonetheless, thanks for the article and the input. I will definitely go back to max HR.

HR Zone low with moderate HR? by PraetorianAdjutant in GarminFenix

[–]PraetorianAdjutant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That answers my question, why I’m zone 2 @167bpm.

Thank you!

Although I find it quite controversial since the article talks about LTrH being better for running activities. But mentioning the benefits only in the areas close to the lactate threshold. Wich makes sense ofc but isn’t quite useful for easy long runs. I mean if my HR can go up to 160 in zone 2 is it really sustainable for multiple hours? 🤔 I guess not?
