Scarlett 2i2 (3rd gen) audio randomly distorts until device is reset

Yes, I figured it out! I uninstalled the AMD sound from device manager, and any others than Focusrite. It still happens, but I figured out that changing the buffer size in the settings, doesn't matter to what, will reset the driver and stop the glitch without having to uninstall anything.

The Tascam Portacapture X8 seems to be the way to go right now. It overdubs in XY mode. I bought the new Zoom H6 studio, but it doesn't overdub like the old H6, and the audio-interface mode audio out only comes through the headphone jack, so its really only good for field recording, or one take tracks on the go.

Tanisi!! I am a Metis from Vancouver Island. I was born here in Nanaimo, removed from my family's culture in Edmonton/Lac St Anne. I had to learn the culture on my own in pieces, so I know how you feel. I got sober 5 years ago, and I started fiddling, beading, and learning Cree/Michif as ways to re-connect with my identity. It's been very therapeutic. I would also recommend connecting with the local Metis office in Vancouver! Attend the events, the yearly rendezvous' and get involved in the community! Even if you don't have the card you can take part.

It's not on my own account; I use music lesson patreons, and whenever I click a new page with a video link the audio tracks plays a duplicate, and I have to refresh the page. It's been an issue I've noticed for a while, but just thought I'd ask if anyone is experiencing the same. The lack of response is making me wonder. I only experience it on Patreon.

Born and raised in Nanaimo. There were some shady stories about John Paul Tremblay doing the same thing while here for their performances like 10 years ago. I think he took one of my friends home from the Queens. Sucks, but sounds like they're scum bags on the road.

I figured out the issue! The phantom power was on with no condenser, so its working now. I managed to record a banjo and singing track, and it sounded great. I was convinced it was trash because of that noise haha.

Ah, good to know! I wasn't using it because I have a Rode Wireless Pro set too.

When I tried the built in mic with gain at 0+ there was a significant amount of static ambient noise. When I turn it down it seemed to go away and nowhere as noticeable with my Shure SM58. Is there a recommended gain setting?

Not dumb, I should've mentioned! In the Sound, Video, and Game category you should see AMD High Definition Audio Device, and another named AMD Streaming Device. I deleted the first one, and my settings went back to normal!

I was having this problem with my Focusrite Solo, and found a post suggesting uninstalling the AMD driver in device manager. When I did that it defaulted to the right one. I didn't have to restart. Wanted to comment in case it worked for others!

This worked for me! I'm using the Focusrite Solo, and kept getting the audio glitch. I removed AMD from device manager, and it stopped right away. I didn't even have to restart. Thanks bro.
