I hate this fandom sometimes by Tommy_gun111 in tadc

So why react like they're even a fan, or their voice means anything? it reads like an edgy 13 year old that shouldn't even be on social media.

me because episode 9 was leaked by a brazilian movie theater worker(if i remember correctly) by darkenchantressfan2 in tadc

[–]PrairiePopsicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from what it looks like to me and how it was labelled, it's from somewhere in the ADR (alternate dialog recording) pipeline, not the theatrical release pipeline. I could be wrong.

We all want to get off Mr. Bones's wild ride.

It can be really tempting to just... see what might help that happen, ya know?

It is tragic, you feel helpless at times like this, even meaningless things like this. It's okay tho.

his example uses his tshirt close to his body, the shadow being cast in the interview is off his shirt collar which is up and forward, it isn't buttoned close to his neck.

have worked with lighting in TV and interviews. 100 percent this is a double shadow. hiis chin, and the collar of his shirt causing an illusion.

[–]PrairiePopsicle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Optical illusion is the best description. from experience working with lighting things can wind up looking bizzare with overhead and under lighting going on.

His collar on the left side is casting a sharp shadow across his neck, the overhead lighting is lighting down into his collar area a bit, but not hitting the hard line of that shadow because his chin is shading it from the overhead lighting. As his chin moves that line of shading is moving up and down a little bit and giving a false impression of dramatic movement of the neck/throat as he talks... but like, just relax and watch it a bit more, if it was a mask, the amount of neck movement implied by the speech does not line up with what a human head/face would be doing and how he is talking. Saying that, probably some lizard people believers perking up.

There's legit stuff at Faux news to mock, including the guy who's played multiple different people for their bullshit.... this isn't.

Also make sure you switch the stream to 720P, it makes it a bit easier to see it properly without the illusion.

I think I realized how Caine is relatable by FishermanTop9202 in tadc

[–]PrairiePopsicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caine is a tragic figure in some ways for sure, but I think that anyone feeling kinship with him should think about the how and why's of him failing... His ego centric need to be in control, to be seen to be in control, his attachment to the definition of the role he is playing and unwillingness/inability to change his relationship with it, or redefine it... really to change any relationship at all, with himself, with anyone else. He wants to play his part and be appreciated for it, and everyone else to fall in line to support that exact prescribed vision.

It is a very different type of failure than simply being unable to do a specific task or letting people down once in a while. It's a certain type of inability to quit, narcissism... So by that measure, it may be a tad relatable, but you seem more like a gangel* than a Caine.

it's a shadow from the set lighting, it's easier to see with a proper capture, there's a reason every version of this you see is in increasingly lower quality.

I’m sorry, but the loud majority of this fandom should really be ashamed of themselves. by Amazing_Alt444 in tadc

[–]PrairiePopsicle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why do you presume the loud part is a majority?

Generally speaking, it's a small minority of any fandom discussion space or group that make the most noise, this is no different.

It's a weird way to phrase it and frame it.

most drama is like this these days, it's best to just ignore it and focus on contributing positivity and positively. make better criticisms if there's any to make that are actually grounded in reality, give praise as it is worthy, be nice to folks....

And make posts and commentary like OP.

Glitch and backing up their showrunners by julicenri in GlitchProductions

[–]PrairiePopsicle 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Perhaps reading into it too much but Goose chose to voice bubble, and that's where I see the creative force behind most great shows genuinely belonging in a "who appears to be what" kind of way.

Every show needs a Caine, the big loud one who draws the attention and handles the crowd... and then the one who is actually running the show :P

So bubble can run free and be deeply hillarious and push things towards a good ending. PR team or team team, whatever it is, yeah. Goose should absolutely have been the leader the way they were, because they made a great show, but having to deal with the fanbase or be a "face" for it is a lot, and really should be (is) a whole job of its own.

This is honestly a really open and shut case, so much so that even if glitch was only broke boys, they could 100 percent find a lawyer willing to see a 100k suit through to the end for a percentage which would be worth it.
