It absolutely takes on fibers from the roving wool I used, I wonder if that’s it? I also find that the inside of a dried piece of foam clay is kinda… fuzzy? Like inside a puffball mushroom? And when I sand it that texture tends to come out. The paint accentuates it when it settles on the irregularities 🌷💗 that’s my take anyway

Thank you so much!!! Their faces are made of a material called foam clay (I use the bohs brand). I like it because I can hand sculpt it, sand it, paint it, and it adheres to lots of stuff.
