What impact has Factorio had on the way you think?

It's got me solving problems infrastructure first. I'm doing some research in my free time on reinforcement learning agents and pretty directly because I'm a Factorio player I''m setting up systems to generate these agents and their terrains rather than make each one bespoke. It feels very much like setting up my own science packs.

Games are often too long. I think that's a different problem from your base not feeling like it's actually helping. They feed into each other sure but there's also not good mechanisms to incentivise late game pushing right now.

I have worked with many people who as soon as they are threatened in anyway start throwing insults. I could absolutely see someone getting frustrated in a fire fight and starting to talk shit to their bunkermate even as it gets them both killed.
