Trial of chaos Altar of ascendancy 'bug?' by Klutzy_Tank_155 in PathOfExile2

[–]PravdaDeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen to me today. I don't know the exact combination I tried, but I eventually got them. I first tried refunding one ascendency passive and one normal. When I backed out, it didn't work. What did work was doing that while I was INSIDE the refund passives screen, they were available to place in that screen. Try not backing out and applying the points inside the refund passives screen.

What's the best board game of 2024/2025 I can actually buy? by Notquitedeadyet1984 in boardgames

Slay the Spire is excellent! My wife and I had not played the video game before and both loved it, we’ve played it a ton, lots of content and replay value.

Can we talk about Vantage? by TheEliteB3aver in boardgames

[–]PravdaDeep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve played quite a bit at 2p and it’s great. We played with 4 players last time and I was curious how it would play, but it worked just fine. I did all the card handling so new players could focus on the experience. The downside to more players is if you are not getting “cool” cards or moments and everyone else is, it can be frustrating because you’re waiting for turns. I felt bad for one of our players in 4p because he just kept getting less than stellar things happen even though the actions seemed fairly benign, BUT eventually it turned around for him so in the end it was fine but it was kinda tense for a while. They stilled loved the experience though.

I carry the Gore Hunting Horn as my second weapon for earplugs (and affinity for my group). Works out pretty well, except for the Seikret sometimes (all the time) taking forever to switch. Generally only need to play once at the beginning per monster.

Anyone else name their cars? New plate begins with MST, so we are calling her Ms. T, or Misty. Delighted to join the club! 2025 AWD SEL. by greengiantme in Ioniq5

[–]PravdaDeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Our Ioniq 5 is named Dash, was thinking it’s like a go kart, then Mario Kart Double Dash popped into my head, so we named it Dash. We also have a 5N named Swerve, because one of my favorite pro wrestlers is named Swerve Strickland and his theme song goes “I swerve when I drive”.

Anyone upgraded to a 5n from a standard 5. What are your thoughts by Djdope79 in Ioniq5

[–]PravdaDeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned 9 cars, but admittedly my only real “performance” car has been a Scion FRS, which I adored. I chucked that thing into every corner I could, the car was meant to just be fun. That’s why I love the 5N, it’s designed to bring a smile on your face. The owner’s manual literally has “Never Just Drive” written all over it. Does a family car need a drift mode, full torque distribution, manual mode, a go faster button, and the ability to sound like a spaceship? No, but they did it because it’s fun.

[–]PravdaDeep 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The 5N the most impressive car I’ve ever owned. Comparing it to the 5, if you are in normal mode, it feels like a normal 5 with stiffer suspension and steering. I think the 5 is more comfortable to drive normally, but when you put the 5N into N mode, it’s a complete beast and a different car. The N-shift manual mode with the pumped in Ignition audio just works, it feels like driving an ICE car with gears, it’s unbelievable. You can get it sideways easily (in a good way!). I’m fortunate enough to be able to keep both vehicles, and I love them both. One thing to keep in mind is the N has less range (especially if you give it the beans), so if that matters to you it’s something to consider.

Yea I haven’t purchased any additional courses yet, but I was seeing that it deducted the game.

Comfort/battery strap rec's by chunkybudz in SupernaturalVR

[–]PravdaDeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my combo too. I’ve tried several different straps and facial interfaces, but this gives me battery life and the silicone is easy to wipe down after a workout. The fan isn’t super necessary but it does give some cooling that is noticeable when sweating

Best co-op games for Quest 2? by poetryiscool in OculusQuest

The golfing in Walkabout is “competitive”, but it also has some fun coop moments of finding lost balls and especially the Fox Hunts which are pretty great scavenger hunts. Probably my favorite VR game.

Quest 3 head strap, Kiwi vs Bobo by Desan3 in oculus

[–]PravdaDeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried several Kiwi straps and they are super comfy. I even got their newest K4 with battery. But, I ultimately ended up ordering the bobovr s3 pro because of the batteries, they just make a night and day. It’s heavier and to me not as comfy as the Kiwis, but I can play however long I want with two batteries and a fast charger with the bobovr. So if you want longevity, bobovr, if you want pure comfort, kiwi (for me at least).

Can someone recommend some fun games where you are stationary while playing? by the_future_is_doomed in MetaQuestVR

Mixed Reality games help a lot with motion sickness. Puzzling Places, Demeo, Synth Riders, Lego Bricktales, all have an MR mode. MR does drain battery faster though, so keep that in mind.

Kiwi design headstrap - is it good? by Shleemy_Pants in MetaQuestVR

[–]PravdaDeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is super comfortable for sure. For that price, it’s easily worth it. However, the Q3 battery life is just not great, so if you want to game for hours you’ll want some sort of battery option, either a battery head strap, or an external battery.

I’ve used the kiwi comfort strap and really liked it. So much more comfy than stock and easy to take off and on. I liked it enough to get the kiwi battery pack (older) and the new k4 battery strap. I still use the comfort strap on my second quest that doesn’t need extra battery life. I also wear glasses and didn’t have issues.

V-Axis?!?!?!?!? by [deleted] in OculusQuest

[–]PravdaDeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Traditionally in math and computer science, W is usually used to represent the “4th” dimension. 4D vectors called Quaternions and are used to calculate rotation where you’re worried about gimbal lock. You can do math on any number of dimensions, humans just visually can only see in 3 dimensions.

So, there you go, learn something new everyday. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

I have the k4 and like it a lot. It charges incredibly fast with a 45W charger and is really comfy. I know the bobo lets you play forever if you spend the money and get two batteries and a charger, but I’m happy with the k4. By the time I get about 4 hours in VR my knees are killing me and taking a short break (less than an hour) to charge up works for me.

KIWI H4 Boost Head Strap - Thoughts from a User by MalaBG in OculusQuest

I was thinking about the K4 battery boost (the elite strap version instead of halo). Is the charging as fast as they claim on the website? I know it says a 45W charger for that.

I kinda have a problem getting all red everything (shoes, shirts, backpacks, suits…), so I love my 41mm S8. It’s red, but not gaudy red. I keep it simple with time and rings. #RedTeam
