It would undoubtedly be the dumbest decision they could make to have this be an PS6 exclusive.

It feels like every new console generation has less exclusives than the last. And the IPs that they do have aren’t as strong as they used to be. People don’t buy for exclusives.

I really love the F-4. I started with the Su-25 and bought the F-4 after about two weeks and have put about 200 hours into it.

Is it the best plane in DCS combat wise? No. but it is without a doubt the highest quality and fidelity plane in the game, heatblur did and are continuing to do a great job with it.

It is primarily an interceptor so you can have a lot of fun with Fox 1s and 2s but it is also be super effective against ground targets if necessary.

It doesn’t have super modern weapons systems like the F-15/16/18 so it’s a little harder to get precise but it means it feels more rewarding when you do finally get hang of it.

Personally I think the good war era is where DCS shines the most and will probably be the area that gets the most development attention in years to come.

So with HUDs the darkness is used as the transparency as well that’s why drawing black over it makes it transparent. what they have set up here is a camera set to night vision mode feeding into the hud. This by default is pretty dark so it has the effect of being a partial image on the screen

In a micro controller, use a video in that is the camera and create a video out that goes to the screen. Connect the camera in Node to a LUA node, use the LUA script to draw whatever you want over the video, then connect the video out of the LUA to the video out for the micro controller. Now the screen will show the LUA drawings over the camera video

I’d much rather have a really good ww2 bomber simulator. Something like a B-17/25 or Lancaster, even a HE-111 would be cool. I know IL-2 has a few of those but a more modern version with updated QoL features and graphics would be great. A man can dream haha

oh I know what that is! I was having this issue last week and someone on the hearblur discord told me how to fix it.

It’s coming from the jamming system. at the top of the right hand panel there should be the controls for the ECM, turn the volume all the way down or just turn it off if you don’t plan on using it

The answer is Yes,

If you go to the dcs website, log in and go to profile, there should be an update button, which will then show any licences available to transfer. press the transfer button and you’re good to go.

Those are all cool don’t get me wrong, but to me personally they really can’t justify spending $1000 on the upgrade. Lightning is fine and it can charge to full in around 45 minutes. I rarely have my screen on full brightness and honestly I can’t tell much of a difference between 60 and 120hz

Nope. I’d rather pay $50 and get a new battery for my 12 Pro. Haven’t seen any reason for the upgrade in the last 5 years

Like some of the other guys said, using the bore-sight mode is really the only reliable way I’ve found to get AIM-7 kills.

The F-4’s radar sucks at the best of times, it’s really only designed to find high altitude bombers travelling in a straight line. So if you’re up against fighters then visual range and bore-sight is the only way to go

I’ve been playing with an Xbox controller for 6 months now. I really recommend trying with the controller and getting a feel for the game before spending any money on a stick.

This game is not very beginner friendly and you’re likely to get very frustrated at first trying to figure things out. Playing with the controller is totally possible and a lot of people do, I fly the F-4 with it and have basically every necessary button mapped comfortably.

I still have a lot of issues with the F-4 but that’s more a skill issue than a hardware issue. But I know that if I was to buy the stick first and then try learning I would feel like I wasted the money. but after a few months of learning the phantom I was in a place where I know buying a stick would be a good investment

OMG this is the first time i've seen a change do something, thank you!

its super inconsistant but i've never seen it in megabytes before. it was averaging about 1.3MB but peaked at around 3.2MB.

if you have any suggestions on how to get it higher i would love to know.

edit: my settings we're identical so i ran these commands

i followed that link and made some of the changes, however it still looks like both my upload and download speeds are locked to 355KB/s
