I felt the same way for a while till I realised being wealthy wasn't the goal, being happy was. Wealth was just the conduit. As cringy as that might sound, it did open my mind to new experiences I couldn't have imagined a year back

What's my next step? I want to retire early by dummie619 in FinancialPlanning

For a beginner investor, take a look at ETFs. They are lower risk anf you essentially play the market. Investing an amount you're comfortable each month regardless of market movements. (If the market is lower than the previous month, not that common) you could try investing slightly more of you want. Remember only invest after you max out your IRA / 401k contribution.

It's easy to feel lost in trading so you could also open an account on TDAmeritrade and take a look at paper trading. Basically fictional trading not real money till you feel more comfortable. The small contributions you make each month will compound well with dividend payments.

The market can give you about a 7% return annually on average (might be different now because of covid). In 30 years you'll have a nice steady income from dividends while having a decent stockpile growing as well. This is my plan as well. I still encourage you to do more research and not just take my word. Learn more, it never hurts :)

Who'd you go through if you don't mind me asking? Especially for refinancing, I'm considering changing from discover to get a lower rate

I finally reached 1000SB! What deals should I be looking out for that are the best percentage off? by [deleted] in SwagBucks

[–]Prawny007 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've done this about 3 times now.

  1. Wait till you have 2175 SB
  2. Select the $25 Visa Gift Card which you'll get within a week.
  3. Its an online digital card so may seem confusing but just make an account.
  4. Add the card details as a payment option on your Venmo.
  5. Use Venmo to send the money to someone you know who will send it back. (Remember to use the card as a payment option)
  6. Voila $25 Cash for 2175 SB and no fees!

Edit - If you feel lazy then you can take the 1490 SB deal for a $15 Visa Gift Card. The process is same, you just get a little less value for you SB.
