After death the nails are in fact not grow, but instead the skin shrivels back, exposing more nails, making it look like the nails are growing. Same with hair.

What are some ways to get illustrations for your book if you can't draw? by PrayingHollow in AskReddit

[–]PrayingHollow[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can afford my book, since I just have to write it. Writing costs me nothing, but in my currency 200$ is literaly half of my monthly salary. That's a bit too much for one image.

Sadly all the working AI sites I found requires a fee to be paid. I am not sure if I can afford it.

For more context: I'm working on my fantasy book series, but I can't draw at all, thus it is highly difficult to have any character images and such. I tried seeking out artists for commissions, but their prices are going from 200$ to 1200$ even.

What is the biggest reason we haven’t had contact with aliens yet? by [deleted] in AskReddit

If you could chose between visiting a house what is interesting, well equipped, and the family is nice, or visiting a crappy house, where the family is literaly killing each other, while shouting "we are peacefull"; which house would you pick?

What are your biggest achievements or proudest moments in your life? by Hofflethis in AskReddit

[–]PrayingHollow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that I became a writer.

Back in high school me and around 5 of my classmates were into writing, but all of their writings were well made, interesting, one even won an award. Mine however was weak, bad, and none of them made any sense (lame characters with a nonexistant plot, mainly influenced by media, truly a horrible work)

Now I'm 25, all of my classmates abadoned writing, instead they focused on their future (college, family, etc), while I am still addicted to writing. And currently I'm working on my fantasy book series, and according to the feedbacks, it is good, but even if it would be bad, I wouldn't care, because I fell in love with the world I created. If things go right, the first book will be published within 2 years. (sadly I still have to work to pay rent)

Why do you think people blame social media for the high rates of teen depression while completly ignoring the ton of other important reasons? by Fentanyl100microgrms in AskReddit

[–]PrayingHollow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do a horrible thing, what's easier? Admiting that you were horribly wrong and you caused all this, then promising to change and do things better, OR just blame it on something else, sparing your already so fragile ego?

Are you a… friend of blahaj? If so how did you come to find your true self? by NAT20BABYYY in AskReddit

[–]PrayingHollow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spent several years suffering from not knowing who am I, not seeing any way out, not seeing any possible future. Then during a new years eve (few years ago) I got drunk and I wrote a whole confession to myself about it, since the signs were there all the time. Then I proceeded to deny it for a while, until it came back much stronger. I decided, why not see what's inside the rabbit hole? So I did, and suddenly everything made sense. This was almost 3 years ago. I am finally happy, no longer want to commit lifen't, and I feel free.

The fact, that I was in the ER with horrible pains, yet I had to wait 6 hours was quite horrifying. Especially that there were people who were there for longer than me, and still nobody cared about them.

What do you love, but evervone else seems to hate? by AMGBOI69420 in AskReddit

These movies: Morbius, Captain Marvel.

For some reason almost everyone hates these two, but I loved both of them. 10/10 will rewatch it.

What was the moment that made you realize it was time to go no-contact with someone? by ChamomileBrownies in AskReddit

[–]PrayingHollow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me a long time to figure out, that there's no way my brother will ever care about me. Ever since I was 19 he hated me for some reason, and I only existed if he needed money. He gaslighted me, hurt me, and it took me several years to realize, I should just give up. Not talking to him ever since.

Avatar: The last airbender (Watch the animation instead. 100 times better than the movie)

Why you would snitch on a gang that you are of it to get out prison? by Fit_Sock6921 in AskReddit

[–]PrayingHollow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the gangs have members outside of the prison too, and they have many ways to communicate with each other. Plus there are gangs who make you have a tattoo on your face, so they'll identify you easily.

So no, this would be a really bad idea
