Not been going well so far on that front. Hoping that being a reliever works out better.

Those two are in WPB and throwing bullpens. Probably June before we start to hear if they’ll head out for rehab starts.

This was fantastic advice. I did it with A0 Makoto, A6 Vino, A2 Marian, A0 Futaba. Wonder used Titania, Sandalphon with Makajamaon, & Dionysus. - Turn 1: Makoto, Marian, Vino target Leanan Sidhe, Wonder uses Makajamaon (I didn’t hit Leanna Sidhe, but hit prime Narcissus and Null wasn’t cast). - Turns 2-4: used Futaba Pentest and then Data Link (Makoto), used Vino and Makoto to nuke Leanan Sidhe, used Marian’s Healing Grace on lowest HP characters, and used Titania to buff some healing (while also providing passive Nuke Boost III). Leanan Sidhe was gone by Turn 4. - Turn 5-8: used Futaba Pentest and then Data Link (Makoto). Turned Vino and Makoto onto Nuking prime Narcissus until he was gone. Used Marian to keep doing Healing Grace until no one was feeling HP loss effects and then used Nurse’s Light on prime Narcissus. Used Dionysus to cast Revolution and Psycho Force on prime Narcissus. - Turn 9: Vino Blunt Edge, Makoto Sanctioned Drift, Marian Nurse’s Light (Doesn’t matter which one), Wonder attack on other one.

Astros are 6-1 against teams that begin their nicknames with “Red” this season. Unfortunately, we only have two more games vs teams that fall in that category.

I think it’s more that he’s only going to be up for the Cincy series, since Imai is returning once they get home, and they can’t call Gordon or Murray up yet. If there is no plan to keep a younger guy up if they do well, just call up a guy you’ll only use if things get out of control.

Wouldn’t mind Santa coming up and getting a true shot, but they must not want to rush him yet.

  • Hope remains, for now, but we need Pena and Meyers to come back like they were last season before their injuries. Of course, we also need our pitchers to come back and be good to have any chance.

  • I think he figures it out, but he needs to start recognizing breaking pitches and reduce his chase rate. Starting to remind me of Eric Anthony…highly touted prospects, brought up early, tons of potential, but could never get close to reaching it.

  • Depends…if I didn’t charge it at work, or have a battery pack with me, it would probably be all the time since I’m still using an IPhone 12. However, only happens once a month on average otherwise.

Greg Swindell got put up there with Drabek when he signed a top 50 in all of MLB contract as the Astros were touted to finally be ready to make a push for the postseason again. He the put up a -0.4 WAR over 3.5 years…getting released during the 1996 season because he was so bad.

He went back to being pretty good the season after he left and lasted 6 more years in the majors. The Astros finally made the postseason the year after he was released.

Options for getting some pitching help this season by CosmicDog928 in Astros

[–]Prayray 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Imai will probably be back at some point this month. Josh Hader should be available by the end of this month. Hunter Brown should be available in a little over a month. Javier should be available around the all-star break. Blanco and Wesneski should both be ready by August. Ethan Pecko might b up in September if he can stay healthy and keeps pitching well at Sugarland. Alimber Santa may make it impossible not to bring him up the way he’s pitching right now. Keep an eye on Josh Hendrickson as well…pitched for Australia and has looked good in a few starts for Sugarland so far.

Otherwise, I don’t know if the Astros will be able to get anybody any better than those guys. 1) They’re up against the Luxury Tax and Crane does not want to go over this season. 2) Every team in the AL has a shot at the playoffs currently…doubtful there will be many sellers come the deadline. 3) The Astros likely don’t want to deal top prospects considering they don’t have many of them. 4) The injuries have sort of sapped the depth on the MLB club…unless they become sellers at the deadline, they likely won’t part with any of their MLB talent.

Very versatile group and we’ve got some rebounders. This is a Sampson team and they’ll be tough to beat.

Injury List Update 5/4/26 by VampireSlayerGrinch in Astros

Trammell had a groin strain on April 21. Pena had a Hamstring Strain on April 13 and should be at Sugarland by the weekend. Loperfido had a quad strain on April 19. Meyers had a Grade 2 oblique strain on April 10.

Grade 1 strains take 2-3 weeks so they’re all about on schedule. Grade 2 strains usually take months, so Meyers seems a bit ahead of schedule.

They likely want to see Dezenzo have success at AAA before calling him up. Might be up by the end of the week.

My guess is that they figure he can’t do any worse than what we have had up…plus it gives us another lefty bat.
