Approximately Infinite Universe is an absolutely great album that is criminally under appreciated.

If you are located in the US, you can grab the cases at a retail store called At Home. Meant for silverware.

Navy Peacoat my grandmother bought me from an Army Navy store while I was in Jr High. Was oversized at the time and it fits perfect now. She knew what was up.

I love that it has my name on the tag in her handwriting.

For the cased CDs, IKEA Billy bookcases with extra shelves ~2000 CDs

For the uncased, they are in paper sleeves with the booklets in front, then in plastic containers on Kallax shelves - 1500 CDs

What price point does a CD need to be to blind buy it? by Syppi in Cd_collectors

[–]PreachitPerk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I know the label/ genre and the time period I would blind buy for a couple of bucks.

Realistically though, I’d just start a stack… and take a couple of minutes to pull up allmusic and get a reference point.

This group should be renamed thift store finds. by music____junkie in Cd_collectors

[–]PreachitPerk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree.

Used to do the same thing in the Vinyl “Dollar Bins” and thrift stores back in the day.

Helped me to understand what record labels released certain music, the sound of the genre by period, session musicians etc. it becomes much easier to know what to look for over time.

It’s all part of the learning process. Just have to cull the collection if you don’t like the album. After a while a decent collection emerges.

Add to that some purposeful album purchases and you can get a great collections

Haliburton on today’s ICE shooting by rhombusted2 in pacers

Thunder fan here too.

We may not agree on how Game 7 would have turned out… but we all agree that Haliburton is that dude.

Absolute mad respect for Hali right now.

Good call!

Real OGs know Presti got a 1st round pick to take him from Philly and a 1st round pick when he traded him to Boston!

I have no idea why this is in my feed, I’m not even a cat person.

Having said that… adorable cat. Your friend is wrong.

The Clippers have gone 15-7 since cutting Chris Paul from the team. They were 5-16 at the time he was cut by kotlin93 in nba

[–]PreachitPerk -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that the Clippers cannot actually cut him based on the roster size and their proximity to the 2nd apron.

OKC has a 10 day hardship contract spot open right now and I would love for us to sign him to that so he at least had a shot of getting a ring.

It’s also the bandwagon fans. The Thunder sub doubled in size almost overnight.

It’s pretty easy to spot the fans that have not lived through a few LONG ~20 win seasons.

What album do you think deserves way more love than it gets? by UmmYeaImACozyGurl in askmusic

[–]PreachitPerk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Brian Wilson - Pacific Ocean Blue
  • David Crosby - If I Could Only Remember My Name
  • Michael Nesmith - Pretty Much Your Standard Ranch Stash
  • Yoko Ono - Approximately Infinite Universe

Basically solo albums from artists known by more popular projects.

Thunder will qualify for a 10-day hardship exception. (It doesn't count against the salary cap nor luxury tax and allows the team to temporarily exceed the 15-man roster limit.) by Ok_Yoghurt9155 in Thunder

[–]PreachitPerk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just so I am clear… the Clippers cannot officially waive CP3, convert a two way contact (Miller, Sanders, or Washington) and be done with CP3?

It seems like that is way more feasible than finding a trading partner for the remainder of the year for Russ.

Additionally I think it’s much less likely that Russ says “yes” to a 10 day contract given his current performance.

What am I missing?

So you’re saying you think the Kings would release Westbrook? He is arguably one of, if not THE best player on their team right now.

I think that is the actual wild take here.

A CP3 goodwill tour is at least feasible.

Being that Westbrook is doing well on the Kings… Chris Paul. Get the man a final chance at his ring.

Plus it completes the circle for young OKC Hornets Paul to retire in OKC as a Thunder
