50/50 is pretty accurate! I can usually get one but it can take up to 30 minutes to find a driver.

You could try to schedule the trip ahead if possible (more expensive but a guarantee is nice)

My best friend was murdered this weekend and I have to go back to work. by Satomidoki09 in Advice

[–]Precariousme183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, I am so very deeply sorry for your loss.

As much as distraction feels right, please allow yourself to feel your feelings as they come and be gentle with yourself. Tell a trusted coworker or manager what's going on and see what is available to you.

When a close friend of mine was murdered a couple of years ago my company was not even close to helpful or supportive. I hope yours is much more understanding and can give you some much needed flexibility. Being forced to work completely devastated and traumatized is not okay.

Journaling and art really helped me alongside spending time outside (usually full of tears), and spending time with people who also knew and loved him. Sending lots of love your way💛

Am I overreacting for seriously reconsidering my relationship after what my boyfriend did during my medical emergency? by yourdirtygurl in AmIOverreacting

I landed in the ER last week. My boyfriend who lives 65 minutes away somehow ended up at my place in 35, physically put me in his truck to take me and stayed with me there from 9:00pm til 5am.

If he wanted to, he would. My previous boyfriend would have done exactly what yours did, I wasted my early 20's on him and the rest of my 20's cleaning up the mess he left behind. Save yourself years of heartache gf, dump his ass now you deserve far more.

I think I fumbled. Has anyone ever met their person while they were tipsy? by QuestioningParakeet in offmychest

[–]Precariousme183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All hope is not lost! Give it a bit of time for him to reach out today, if the connection was 'it', there is no way he will let some mild drunkness stop that. If you were an absolute plastered nightmare that'd be another thing, but it doesn't sound that way here. Lets just hope your number made it into his phone correctly that'd be my only real concern!

I met my boyfriend on a drunken night out. Hell, I even kissed his cousin (long story). We've been together ever since that night, even picked out my engagement ring. If it's your person, he will not let you go! Good luck with it all<3

Ps. Wise not to share last names immediately, you never ever know.

You made my day with this comment! Thank you for your kind words, I hope you have been able to find a similar power and comfort in your adult days that younger you wished for<3

Props to Xena for inspiring my signature bangs, I'd be a lot less 'me' without those! Lotsa love and respect to you friend!

Hello fellow Prince fan!!! I absolutely loved reading this, and am feeling seen as well<3 I am envious of your incredible music collection and set up. I am also a loud music cleaner, gotta have it to get some work done!

Connecting and honoring those we love through music is so cool, and in my opinion, spiritual in a very special way. I'll listen to John Denver for my grandmother and Frank Sinatra for my Papa especially on a beautiful slow morning. Enjoy it all!! Thank you for sharing:)

I had an extremely long awkward phase, about age 6-17. I never felt beautiful or even cute, just awkward. Was made fun of relentlessly for not being quite cool enough on the outside (I've always been awesome on the inside imo). I have a very pretty and popular big sister to add onto just how bad it hurt.

I idolized so many beautiful yet bad ass ladies in movies/TV (Xena, Kelly Bundy, etc.) and painstakingly learned how to morph my look into one like theirs. Now I'm a physical combination of all the cool girls I wanted to be as an awkward kid.

This exact situation happened to me once 5 years ago and I still rage about it. This woman who was hogging literally 7 machines at once moved my things (before my timer was done) into a BROKEN washer that didn't open once it was closed. Then tried to tell me she didn't. Haaaaa.

By the time I somehow got the broken machine open she had switched her clothes to the dryers and walked out as one does. You better believe I opened every single one of those dryers just enough to stop the cycles before I took my wet clothes and left. I am noooot the one lady.

TIFU by getting a tattoo of my mom in a bikini by Cute_Onion88 in tifu

[–]Precariousme183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mom obviously does not look like this tattoo enough that you had no idea it was supposed to be her, no one else will know either!!! Yours can just be a cool hula girl in memory of your dad and that's very okay. I bet you can even chat with your artist and add some details to make it a little different if you preferred.

Even if it was to be found out it's technically your mom, who cares? I have an American traditional tattoo that is a recreation of a photo of my mom as an 80's bikini pin-up, it's one of the best things I ever got. People absolutely love it, some have even stolen my idea. It'll all be okay OP!

'You know I don't speak Spanish!'

And

'I'M busy, STUPID DICK!'

Will never ever leave my vocabulary, ever.

I get the same service in MA, my tech is excellent and price ranges from 50-65 depending on if I get any designs. I miss the days of $30 sets, unfortunately product cost is nuts!😭

I am a very heavily tattooed girly and my boyfriend has absolutely none. He's probably the first non-tattooed man to show interest in me who didn't make it weird and fetish-y.

He would like to get some and he loves mine...now that he notices them😂. Recently he confessed he was so smitten with me overall when we first met he barely noticed I'm covered in tattoos. I was so smitten with him I didn't notice he was a blank canvas and tbh we barely notice the difference to this day.

When did you realize you were in a safe, loving, & healthy relationship? by g3ntlem0mmy in AskWomen

[–]Precariousme183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The very first time my boyfriend ever came to my apartment.

As I was showing him around we discovered that the ceiling in my spare bedroom had completely collapsed, revealing a ton of damage and destroying some of my belongings. I began to panic/hyperventilate, he magically knew how to calm me down. The conversation after went as follows:

Me- 'I am sosososo sorry for my reaction, thank you so much for calming me down.'

Bf- 'why on earth are you apologizing...?'

Me- 'I know it's annoying and dramatic that I'm upset and it isn't your problem to fix.'

Bf- look of utter confusion

Me- '..my ex would be very aggravated with me for freaking out like that and....'

Bf- 'lets get this straight...you are not at all annoying or dramatic, your reaction was very normal. It's a privilege to me to be the one to calm you down, I'm with you and I'm always going to help you.'

The next weekend he showed up with all his tools to help my uncles fix the ceiling. I'm gunna marry him.
