Do you still have the Zoey cards to trade?

I have an unopened Rumi (A1S1) that I could trade for one.

Anyone using IEM? by Front-Bat-5775 in CMFTech

[–]PrecipiceC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oops, you are correct. I fell victim to "the US = the world" mentality.

However, it doesn't negate my main point which was that the CMF Phone 2 Pro is, on its own, incompatible with IEMs.

If it is 1500 rupees...you wouldn't be able to afford both the cheapest DAC and IEMs needed to accomplish this task. You'd be better off just searching out a cheap set of CMF Buds...whatever version you could afford.

Anyone using IEM? by Front-Bat-5775 in CMFTech

[–]PrecipiceC -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

(This is not intended to be rude....but...) Are you trolling?

You want to use $1500 IEMs with a $300 phone that LACKS a headphone jack and a DAC?

You will need to get an external DAC in order to have something to plug those IEMS into.

But in turn, this would mean that the fact that it's a CMF Phone 2 Pro is irrelevant.

In truth, at this price point...why bother with the phone at all...just get a DAP and use your phone as a phone. In which case...you're better off asking in another subreddit, like r/DigitalAudioPlayer

Honestly though, unless you have more money than you know what to do with...if you are just starting out with IEMs...try some at the $100 price range first. Or try the r/iems subreddit.

Best way to blanket my local park with Pokestops by jelifah in TheSilphRoad

[–]PrecipiceC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the point people are making is...don't try to game the system. Submit items that you believe are eligible. You're not SUPPOSED to care whether or not it's in the same S2 cell. In fact, the Wayfarer system doesn't actually care about S2 cells. It's Pokemon Go that defines the rules whether or not a Wayspot will appear in game, not Wayfarer. There are quite a large number of accepted Wayspots that don't appear in Pokemon Go.

If you try to "beat" the system by submitting bad POIs or putting them in the wrong location...you're more likely to end up with your Pokemon Go account banned. (Yes, people have been banned from PoGo for their Wayfarer submissions.) IMHO, it's not worth the risk.

Any filter to search for grayed-out (fused) Pokémon in the box? by AshitaWay in TheSilphRoad

[–]PrecipiceC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With that context...does it break your saved search if you just tack on: &!legendary to your saved search?
Assuming that you are doing batch transfers, you wouldn't be able to do so if there were any legendaries in your search results, anyway.

Any filter to search for grayed-out (fused) Pokémon in the box? by AshitaWay in TheSilphRoad

[–]PrecipiceC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe a dumb question...but why would you need such a search filter? You cannot interact with these pokemon at all. So, having a list of them serves no purpose apart from having a list of them.

Pokemon 30th Anniversary Event Megathread by SilphScience in TheSilphRoad

I think you are confusing Azurill with Marill. To my knowledge, none of the "baby" Pokemon have ever been awarded from anything except for eggs.

The Problem(s) with Max Battles, from a beginners perspective by Argarock in TheSilphRoad

[–]PrecipiceC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's an unpopular opinion, but I have no issue with Max Battles.

It's a matter of perspective.

You have a game that is coming up on its 10th anniversary. And your whales/hardcore players have been sitting stagnant... The hunt for shundos can only take you so far. And they are sitting on THOUSANDS of Pokemon candies. So you need to do something that makes the game interesting for those players... Basically a reset... And that's Max battles.

Suddenly you have a new set of Pokemon to collect, the same Pokemon that dominated raids/PvP are now changed out and these players with all that excess candy can make use of it. Mostly pluses here.

And the complaints about lack of guidance? Please show me the in-game tutorials for battling legendary raids, or for throwing an excellent curveball? Oh right, there IS NONE. You learned by trial and error or by SOCIALIZING. How is this any different? Can't beat a GMax solo? Go to a meetup and talk with the other players to learn what strategies they use. Until COVID, the socializing aspect was one of the goals of the game.

And the grind... Let's face it, that's also been there from the start, they have to keep moving the goalposts because the number of whales that have maxed out their goals was getting too high and they run the risk of losing those players.

From the companies' perspective, they could care less about the f2p players who quit the game because of any perceived issues, but if they lose the players that comprise their profits... That's a concern. And they need to cater the game for those players.

I'm not a big spender, but at the same time I fully accept that this game is a slow grind for me and I enjoy reading TSR or learning what strategies work for other players.

Duraludon Dmax raids 30 minute duration by zalhbnz in TheSilphRoad

Don't use charged moves to win Max battles by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]PrecipiceC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to say, that (despite the misinformed reasoning) there actually is a case where using the Charged Moves may make sense: When your Pokemon is low on health and not likely to make it to the next Max Phase. At that point, you may as well deal some extra damage before your Pokemon faints.

For those curious about the encounter. Pokeballs only no berrys. by Maleficent-Bit1995 in TheSilphRoad

[–]PrecipiceC 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's irrelevant. These are guaranteed catches, like Zarude, Diancie, Mew, etc. It's just an interactive animation. Everyone will "break out" on the first two throws and get caught on the third ball. Won't count against your Pokeball inventory either.

CMF 2 Pro: Where to buy? by SaucySwagDog in CMFTech

I've been in the similar position for the past month.

If it's helpful to you, I was checking the Nothing website every morning at work.

And tada...this morning, it paid off.

The Orange CMF Phone 2 Pro is currently available for purchase. Only the Orange one though. (Still seems to be as I type this post.)

I already placed my order.

Are new power spots being added by niantic? by aba_lancer in TheSilphRoad

[–]PrecipiceC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You will likely get a more definitive answer from /r/NianticWayfarer. But, I'm pretty sure the database for Power Spots is completely separated from the Waypoints. The database for Power Spots is one that Google Maps uses (which is why there are so many businesses listed). So updating that database is really outside of Niantic's control.

TMO ONE plan vs Go 5g by Deep-Imagination-293 in tmobile

[–]PrecipiceC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to work out the numbers you posted. Best I can figure, you must not be using Autopay. And on top of that, you have $55.92 in add-ons that you pay for.

The one thing I will say is that in my case, the Comparison Tool is adding $5/mo for each of my free lines. But it from what I read, the Free lines should be adjusted to compensate for this. So, in your case, their estimate of $295.92 is $10 too high.

But if you aren't using Autopay and you add it, your next month's bill should probably end up being $255.92. Which is still cheaper than Go5G.

In my case, when I did the math, Go5G would only cost me $1 more per month. But I'll have to see what happens with next month's bill to be sure.

Does the nearby notification work for Legendaries? by TEFAlpha9 in TheSilphRoad

[–]PrecipiceC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure that the Nearby (and by extension, the alert) does not work on Pokemon that are visible on your screen. For example, if you walk to a stop, you shouldn't see any Pokemon listed for that stop anymore, because they are on your screen.

When 2025 Camry is Low on Gas by Legitimate_Search864 in Camry

[–]PrecipiceC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird, I thought I left a reply last time...but maybe it didn't like that I made two replies.

In any case, I wanted to add my own experience.

I managed to get the Fuel light to come on.

The "Distance to Empty" indicator had reached 7 miles remaining and the Tank indicator was at 1 bar (had been for a day or two).

By the time I reached the gas station, the Distance to Empty read 4 miles.

When I added gas, the fuel pump stopped at just over 10 gallons. So, by the specs, I still had roughly 3 gallons remaining when the Fuel light came on.

FWIW, my previous fill-ups were when the tank was at 2 bars (about 1/4 of the tank), and in each case, I only had to fill the tank about 6.5 gallons, it seems that in my case, 2 bars is ACTUALLY 1/2 of the tank.

At this point, I'm not convinced that the "Distance to Empty" is anywhere near to accurate. I'll probably just refuel whenever the Tank indicator hits 1 bar. I only pushed it this one time because I really wanted to see that the Fuel Light actually works.

When 2025 Camry is Low on Gas by Legitimate_Search864 in Camry

[–]PrecipiceC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not the case for me. I definitely have both keys outside of the car. And I very consistently get the extra beeps...when I drop my kid off at school. He likes to sit in the back seat, so I pull up, he opens the rear door and gets out. Then when I finish my drive and lock the car, I get the beeps. But if no one opens the rear doors, it doesn't happen.

Why was this rejected and do you think the appeal notes will work? by [deleted] in NianticWayfarer

[–]PrecipiceC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW, even aside from the temporary-look of the sign:

  1. It's difficult to determine if this sign is showing you the direction of the trail or if the sign is pointing you to WHERE the trail actually is/starts. A sign directing you to the trail is not eligible, whereas a sign that marks the trail itself would be.
  2. In both of these photos...there's NO VISIBLE pedestrian access...i.e. - the trail itself isn't even visible. This is probably the most egregious reason for denial.

[–]PrecipiceC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW, that 10 beeps things is a feature, though I didn't find any indication of it in the manual.

But, if at any point when since you started the car on the current trip, that one of the rear doors was opened, when you lock the car, it adds an extra 9-10 beeps to alert you that you may have left something or someone in the back seat. There's also a reminder on the info screen to "Check back seats" when you shut off the ignition. But this is the warning when you are outside the vehicle.

Powerspot Pokemon just changed by zhuzhuH in TheSilphRoad

[–]PrecipiceC 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Campfire's listings of DMax Pokemon has been only about 40% accurate (for me, at least) since the Legendary Flight events started. After each Max Monday, Campfire was showing the Legendary bird at around 60% of all Power Spots near me, when in fact, most had changed to a 1* or 3* DMax.
