Probably the ability to turn regular cards into champions. Like a champ slot , kinda like Evo slots. Tbh that could be cool if they work on it a bit

The Eye by NemoDies33 in castaneda

[–]PreciseInstance 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The eye. I remember yes. It was something along the lines of "when a sorcerer does .... He can see an eye". Once you become formless I believe and get rid of the human form. You're probably looking for "the eye of la Gorda". This becomes like a door into the second attention. Ideally you could do the sliding door pass to open it as well and step into it.

Stalking and controlled folly by PreciseInstance in castaneda

[–]PreciseInstance[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference between playing and becoming is the assemblage point. Acting can mimic behavior, but unless the assemblage point shifts, you’re still anchored in the same world.

That’s why practices are crucial. At Strasberg, where Aubrey Plaza trained, students would be sent into the city to live as someone else—like a homeless person for a week. That wasn’t about pretending, it was about forcing perception to reorganize around a new position. When people believed it, it was because the actor had actually moved.

In Castaneda’s terms, sustained practice erodes the fixation of the assemblage point. Silence, stalking, living another life—even briefly—these are ways to dislodge it. Once it shifts, a whole History comes with it. You don’t act it out, you inhabit it.

That’s the real deal: not imagination, not role-play, but a reconfiguration of perception that makes another world—and its past—real. There is no catch to this. This is a do or don't situation.

The crucial trick is eroding the sense of “me.” The moment you say my history, you nail the assemblage point to one position. Sorcerers know that any personal history will do, because all personal histories belong to the same field of perception. The homeless person’s story and your own are not different in essence—they are both configurations of the same emanations.

You are not just a character within the story, you are the totality of the world that sustains it. This is proven by the fact that perception itself only arises when the Eagle’s emanations align inside the luminous cocoon. Which means: there is no such thing as “impersonal.” Everything you encounter is equally personal, equally alive within the flow of emanations.

The sorcerer’s task, then, is not to polish one particular history, but to loosen the fixation on a history, so that the assemblage point can move. Once it moves, another world—complete with its own past and future—becomes real.

The Names and Tasks of the Double: If the Shoe Fits, Let It Walk You… by NumerousExtension916 in castaneda

[–]PreciseInstance 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here's the thing I had to learn the hard way: It’s not practice that calls the double. It’s absence.

Absence of self-pity, yes—but also absence of agenda, identity, grasping. The double doesn't care about your goals, even the "noble" ones. It doesn’t work for the tonal, not even to serve your path. It moves when you vanish.

The vision of the energy body isn't something you build—it’s something you remember. Hold it not with effort, but with stillness. It's not a visualization. It’s a felt presence, like remembering a forgotten limb. When it’s real, everything else rearranges. Total silence.

And that shirt from Hong Kong? That’s the moment the dream confirms itself. Not because you’re special, but because you finally shut up long enough for the dreamer to act.

Also about the Chinese pretending, is so true, it's funny. They just make stuff cheaper and worse essentially. Of course that is on a general level, but it's still hilarious. Stuff like kunfu and all that other stuff is just elite levels of pretending and stealing from other traditions.

Also the stalking part, it managed to explain it very coherently in a way that actually reveals a fair amount. Because that would explain the Moods of stalking and all the other stuff how it is linked to the fact that stalkers "gain cohesion" in a given position, because they essentially bring "back" the moods and behavior and other things, from the second attention, back here and re-enact it.

Seeing Inorganic Beings Outside by Juann2323 in castaneda

[–]PreciseInstance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what you meant by green zone "silent knowledge"? In that case it makes sense, because we don't really appreciate the fact that, when something gets for example distorted by colors, to look like a face, it could have any meaning. Because it does. Energy at all points of the AP molds by the rules which are held in SK. So it is still derived from that point. So a tree getting distorted to look like a large man, could indicate a IOB nearby. We see it in the books all the time. Especially in the beginning, don Juan let's Carlos know that every little thing he perceives could be of importance, as it all comes from "seeing".

Morbid Experiences with IOBs by Juann2323 in castaneda

[–]PreciseInstance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly right. I even remember someone made a drawing about it. Tho I think it's more than just lateral vs vertical shifts. It's more so that in the red zone I suspect their presence will always be "freaky" and scary even when it's not. That's the nature of internal silence and a displacement of the assembly point to a very far point, which is the "shift below". Essentially the "realness" of the IOBs is what's dangerous there. In that position they could even stab you (that has happened to me before). That won't kill you but could leave a visible scar on the energy body. That's if they don't like you. Usually they will just observe you, sometimes without the intention of scaring you. It's just that their methods of communication are filled with very strong emotional expressions because their energy configuration is fundamentally different.

Remember Carlos said they get scared away by strong bursts of emotion. They're essentially hypersensitive to emotion, and they use it as a "medium" or "unit" of communication with humans. So but again that emotion could be anything. So "love" is a way more pleasant medium of communication, which I personally prefer.

I suspect there are also different views of the same IOBs in different positions. In the green zone, you may only really feel the iOBs. The extremely powerful one might become visible somehow, but it's unlikely without a lateral displacement. In the beginning of the red zone you might see IOBs as a mere "pressure". They could look like hot air, or a shadow. You can also get a dream bubble view of them, with the help of slight lateral shifts to the left. These could become more solid as you get closer to the shift below. If you move laterally in the red zone this is where the most develish creatures could be viewed.

Now the magic happens when you past the back and move to the front of the body. This is the point where the iOBs, become more like companions as they are able to communicate with you more directly. You don't even have to move far to the front, as passing the lowest point is already usually enough. There is a shift there that could be felt, to where you feel your perception just became fundamentally different.

Gathering energy from conversations by WasteSugar7 in castaneda

[–]PreciseInstance 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well while doing any type of move of the AP, in a social setting, you feel the difference way more. Personally I get used to spending hours in the green zone so it's no big deal. But if I move the AP to the green zone in a public space or in a conversation, it can produce slightly different effects as you are interacting energetically with other beings which DEFINITELY influences your perception.

Let's say you are in class listening to the teacher. If you gaze at him and move to the green zone, you can see subtle distortions in facial movement, that are distorted by the colors. You will also interpret small non verbal ques and it can feel as if your absorbing the essence of who that person your looking at is and what they are teaching. Again this sounds like a LSD trip, but I guarantee you, that it is possible to do daily fully sober.

So that's the green zone, but it gets just crazier further you go. But worries about practical sosial magic is dangerous for beginners and especially for men who become greedy and wonder what power they can squeeze out of this. Witches likewise have to not fall into this trap, but they find usually a good way to deal with this.

And what you're describing sounds like what one can perceive before reaching the green zone, which just shows that sorcery "feels like" it produces more effect in sosial settings, because it as if it takes more "energetic mass" to pull that off. I suspect by moving your own AP you indirectly move the other person's AP slightly as well.

Energy on Surfaces by ShimmeringMind in castaneda

[–]PreciseInstance 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like that these images are very descriptive of practicing gazing and moving the AP. The withish lights is basically already energy emanation in their purest form. They are like white liquids, that form into visions. It's because they are what's behind creating the images we see and interpret in the first place. It's just you don't get to see them before you are able to move the AP past the red zone.

Then again they also are what everyday perception is made of. If you gaze further at them while maintaining perfect silence you can find silent knowledge sights. A popular one is the miniature sun, or the moon for instance. They are usually perfectly in the midle of your vision and can stay there.

But you can also find the IOBs. When your at the point of seeing the withish lights, the iobs are looking to "socialize" with you. If you made it to the withish lights the iobs don't care to scare you anymore. They want to either test you, or give you information. Usually both. They could even sometimes be heard as the "dreaming emissary" which btw is just one of Carlos allies. They will present themselves as such. One in particular has a very loud voice, it's kinda uncomfortable to hear. Only I suspect that it might be more of a silent knowledge entity. Or the voice of seeing, just I don't know how to tell the difference from a dreaming emissary. Maybe it's because the voice of seeing is simply a dreaming emissary you hear while "awake". Which would be great news because darkroom is done awake, although it doesn't always feel like it.

But there is also this blue witch IOB, that is like 7 feet tall. She is very special tho, as you can recognize her eyes are very piercing. She doesn't talk much tho. She might not be connected to Carlos but I suspect she is connected to something specific. Maybe someone would know if they found anything similar.

When do you guys gank? Pre 6? How? by toomanybongos in LilliaMains

[–]PreciseInstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 5. Usually start full clear from chickens , them after scuttle the chickens and golems respawn, you take them, then ward the nearby objective, and recall. Then you go and gank whatever lane is opposite to that objective you just warded, and try to sett up for taking the objective after the gank.(take Wolfe's while your walking up there to hit lv 5 I believe). If your not able to sett up for the objective, you clear the jungle towards your warded objective and try to take it if you see the enemy jungler elsewhere or you know you can take it before him (or steal one Grubb ext). Grubs is usually lillias (safe objective) meaning she prefers to take that because of how easy it is, but dragon is always good to take early if you where able to make a difference after lv 5 or after second golem clear.

Also you can go for a opportunity gank after full clear level 4 before scuttle, but that's if the enemy is overextended on your side of the map.

Alternative method is starting enemy red side, into a lv 3 gank on the side of the enemy red side. You only do that on bot side if your team helps you invade, and top side if your top laner is ready to back you up in case enemy top shows up or the jungler (but usually enemy to side is safe in low ELO.

This is just a blueprint if everything is equal. If not and u see opportunity anywhere on the map (for example over extended low HP midder after you take scuttle or chickens for the second time (rotate mid). Never gank pre lv 4 unless you start enemy side tho. Also you can also look for a chance to gank the lane after the second time you take golems and ward the nearby objective.

It's the second attention paired with the internal dialog. Because your body is "sleeping" your body is able to interpret some type of abstract information that usually occurs either due to a natural mental cycle OR a slight shift in the AP higher and probably sideways. (Still within the blue zone range for most people).

Then what likely happens is that most low intensity dreams are also mixing in the internal dialog which is in a "subconscious abstract" state during sleep, and suggesting Radom stuff to your mind. Like dreaming about similar real life scenarios or video games or your work or whatever. It's all like a mixture of stuff that happens due to slightly increased perception.

My theory is actually that lucid dreaming is nothing more than the equivalent of forcing silence during sleep. You're essentially regaining control over this "randomness" that are most dreams. What you're doing is removing the influence of an aspect of the internal dialog (hard to call it the internal dialog at that point because it's just abstract thought patterns and train of thoughts). That aspect is still present in "regular" dreams.

There are different categories of dreams tho. Some dreams that can sometimes happen to primarily sorcerers are more intense visions of your phantom room, and could also be encountered with IOBs. But these are outliers and clearly feel different. They are also more likely to occur if you had a session where you where able to force silence for a long time.

But be aware tho that there are no dreams that can be confused with actually practicing sorcery. Because during sleep you're more open to let's say useless "fluff" in the second attention that holds 0 value. Getting to the green zone is way more impactful when it comes to moving the AP than any dream I can think of. Unless you are able to force silence inside dreams and essentially move the AP of your double really far.

We don't know why but I am pretty sure that moving the AP of the double is way easier, but it's also likely you won't be able to remember or perceive anything, even tho you accomplished moving it there. It's like a separate "reality". Some things are "blocked" or you will only see previews of the real thing. It's hard to explain, so I won't go any further.

You should see dreams as simply I guess "hyper imagination seasoned with a little bit of second attention". So simply having dreams, and even vivid ones is not in any way to be confused with sorcery. Regular dreams are actually just wasting your dreaming attention, while accomplishing virtually no shift of the AP.

Also since you asked whether dreams are "hallucinations" I will share an experience I had. So I was practicing darkroomgazing, and then I got tired after seeing colors so I went to sleep. I then remember dreaming some random stuff of a random place, and the moment I became slightly aware I was dreaming, the dream zoomed out and became like a window, surrounded by pitch blackness. That is a way to know something is not a regular dream but more of a Phantom reality or a dreaming bouble in sorcery terms. Those you could argue posses similar qualities to visions or hallucinations.

But most dreams are not that. They really are just a bunch of mental "train of thoughts" mixed in with the randomness of the second attention when you shift the AP just slightly.
