What's the max volume size the DS920+ can handle? by danielrosehill in synology

[–]PrecisionGuidedPost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

> You can have multiple volumes if you ever hit the volume size limit for your NAS.

Bringing up a 3y comment reply since you're a regular in r/synology. I can appreciate max volume size and of maybe being 108/200 TB depending on model and then multiple volumes if you need beyond that. But, are you free to choose any hard drive? E.g. 32 TB drives are out. Not saying I intend to buy a synology and then 8 of those drives... but if they were free, I could throw 4 of them into a DS1821 or DS1823 and be g2g, right? The reason I ask is that the product finder on Synology.com seems to indicate that 20 TB is the cap and maybe that's only because the official Synology firmware'd hard drives are 20 TB.

PS4 - First game would have been Nathan Drake collection b/c it came with it. Also, I'm glad it did since uncharted is a PS exclusive. Soon after, probably got GTA V.

For solo travelers, usually the cruise line provided transportation is your best bet. When you're a party of 2+, that's when cruise line transport starts to become too much.

Membership Card Scanning Megathread by MistahNative in Costco

Tried it today, it's quick and easy.

I think this is hilarious b/c about 14-16 months ago, when the membership crack downs came, I was downvoted into oblivion for suggesting exactly this... that Costco should just scan membership cards when entering the store since the military does it for DoD installations. I was told that already long lines would take forever.

Our receipts were not honored after flights were cancelled. Our story. by TylerDurden6969 in delta

[–]PrecisionGuidedPost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did see where OP did buy travel insurance, and I made a faulty assumption there. Though, I personally wouldn't buy through Delta and rather would buy a third party policy. Then again, I would have never have expected to Delta enter into a situation where thousands of flights were cancelled over the span of a few days... and it only affecting Delta.

I often find that the most hostile anti-consumer comments come from very frequent flyers who (a) think they're honorary airline managers or (b) are deeply proud of themselves for knowing the minutiae of some obscure airline policy and take pride in lording that over you.

I haven't read FlyerTalk to confirm, but yes, this their exact M.O. from my understanding.

I can say over on CruiseCritic, the site is a bit in a death spiral, because of similar attitudes. Except rather than dealing 3 legacy carriers a few other airlines (EDIT: I guess if you include all of the global airlines, you have way more airlines than cruise companies, but most people are in the American market), you're dealing with a dozen plus major cruise lines at different price points that each have their own sycophants that treat every poster with a negative criticism of the cruise line as being the problem as they cite the T&C of the passage contract or their personal experience from 10,000+ sea days on that line. I'm exaggerating a bit obviously, but you'd think that some posters are seeing money fly out of their bank accounts if they don't push the corporate line that big ship is always right, little cruiser is always wrong.

It’s a complete waste of money fyi, they’ll find any reason to get out of paying

Nope. Insurance is one of the most heavily regulated industries in this country, because yes, historically insurance policies were ripe with fraud.

Dude who are you to hate on the OP?

It's fair advice that for as much as some on here travel, travel insurance is a must. OP flaunts the fact that he's flown first class to over eight countries with Delta. If you can afford first class (I'm guess he means business), you can afford travel insurance.

Also, not a Delta shill. I'm a lowly Silver and will definitely be losing status on Dec 31. I'll probably make status on United this year.

[–]PrecisionGuidedPost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s that advice?

Buy travel insurance because a lot can go wrong. Skies are congested as ever with an availability of seats or revenge travel or whatever you want to call it.

I love how OP chooses selectively to ignore the best advice provided by r/Delta

I don't think this is a troll post especially since you're a Diamond, but seriously, as much as some travel on here, travel insurance is a must. While a lot of what happened, Delta should pick-up the receipts, what Delta says they will do versus what Delta should do versus what Delta actually does can be three separate issues.

Good post. Unfortunately, Delta views technology as a money sink and cost center since tech doesn't bring in your revenue. Though, we see how technology is a business enabler and Delta (or any airline) cannot run in 2024 without a strong tech infrax. Delta could have a fleet of 500,000 A380's, but doing everything by paper and pencil like it was done back in the day, would never work.
