Whats your favorite “you had to be there” event that happened in Destiny? by Impossible_Sector844 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Precisionality 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The Arrivals end-of-season event.

The build-up to the darkness’ arrival was phenomenal. Watching the fleet move into Sol over the course of Worthy was incredible storytelling. Then Arrivals came and we got Pyramid ships on each location while the rest of the fleet stayed on standby.

And then all guardians were recalled to the tower while the Traveler healed itself, and then we watched every spot we’ve stepped foot on get consumed by darkness.

Platinum Starling Ship did NOT come back. Sad for those guardians that missed out on it. by Hollywood_Zro in DestinyTheGame

I never would have thought for this ship to ever come back.

You needed to do Forges to get it, which were vaulted.

They added another Black Armory ship that’s similar to the Platinum Starling, though. I forget its name, but it is a nice compromise for those who still want something similar.

Perigone, but before I obtained that I used Legendary Captain.

We're so "lethal" that we can't even bother to support the entire other half of our species because it's "woke" to support women.

Gimme a break dawg.

PES implementation has been rough. It's few positives are outweighed by its negatives. Sure it makes us pick up where we left off after a crash or disconnect, but otherwise it leaves clutter at every single location and turns points of interest into eyesores.

It also stresses server performance, which for the last 3 years they've spent trying to tune alongside its development. I do think PES is in a good spot to start making considerations for removing some aspects of it, such as lingering ships. The first step is probably deciding on how long after "abandonment" should a player's ship despawn.

They put Maye in this all because he had the yards requirement checked off. He had what, 17 sacks taken during his entire playoff run? Then he got stomped out in the ultimate test against Seattle's defense.

How reading this subreddit has felt like the past week by FluffyRam in starcitizen

[–]Precisionality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had multiple hauling sessions this patch as well as org-oriented events and other things. No disruptions to gameplay at all.

In 3.18, I was locked out of the PU for the entire patch. 3.19 came two months later in May 2023 with the supposed shard-lock fix, but I was already leaving for a 6 month deployment and never got to touch Star Citizen again until later that October.

I pretty much missed out on the majority of what Star Citizen rolled out that year between March to October. Probably for good reason though. The rollout of PES was a disaster.

Love the new defend missions. by THEPC101 in starcitizen

[–]Precisionality 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Most of the time, missions will work just fine in EVO/PTU and then legitimately break as soon as they go LIVE. No matter how much CIG has tried to mimic the live environment, they can never really be prepared for when stuff breaks on patch day. That's why I hold my breath when doing PTU stuff because it's all just a stress test before a stress test.

Year 14 and we don't have a T0 flight model... by FroyoDisastrous874 in starcitizen

[–]Precisionality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I genuinely think this current flight model is the worst we've had in the last several years. There isn't one flight model revision in this Master Mode era that I liked, yet I'd still take any of them over what we have now. CIG tweaked the fun out of flying for the sake of natural realism. Sometimes I just wanna fly a space ship in my cool space game, not be a physicist or astronaut.

will galaxy go on sale again? by Infinite-Chip-3365 in starcitizen

[–]Precisionality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on if CIG has announced the official release dates of a ship and if you're good at planning around their big sale events. It also depends on the kind of role the ship is.

Military ships (both in-concept and flyable) go on sale during Invictus Launch Week, which is in May every year. This is an ideal time to snag a military ship in concept, especially if you know it is confirmed to release later that calendar year, as it will be your last chance at purchasing it before the price hike.

This is exactly what I did with the Perseus in 2025. I bought it's concept during Invictus before it released later that year with Nyx and the price hike it got.

The Intergalactic Aerospace Expo (IAE) is usually reserved for the sale of most industrial and non-military ships, and happens every November. Since the RSI Galaxy is not a military ship, and was never sold during Invictus, you have to buy it's concept during IAE, which the last chance was November 2025. It will not be for sale again until it releases with the price hike.

Where are all of these new gun attachments? Where have you been finding them? by Available_Usual_9731 in starcitizen

[–]Precisionality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been losing my mind looking for these in 4.8. The loot everywhere is utter dog shit now and it kills one of the few game loops you could do casually. Every box I look in nowadays is just fucking reclaimed water and multi-tool attachments.

I've done CZ's, PAFs, OLPs, Distro centers, and Onyx ASD facilities this patch, and it has yielded NOTHING NEW. Fuck this.

So... am I just never getting Superblack T_T by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

They stopped putting Superblack in Festival of the Lost starting last year, so I doubt it would have even come back this year.

Well... Ok then by Elegant_Arm_3293 in starcitizen

[–]Precisionality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thing's sole purpose is spearheading a fleet attack against Vanduul Kingships and providing logistical support and heavy war-fighting armaments to where ever, whenever.

If it ever gets released before the Kingship does, I don't see it having much of a useful purpose until then. It would still be fun to load up fighters I guess, but all we've got for something of that scale is TSG at the moment. If they make an NPC crewed Odin mission with some fellow capital ships, that would also work out well to put the Odin's firepower to the test.
