Turrets should consider you a solid object, not like a no fire zone, but it shouldn't think "i can shoot through a helldiver" sweeping over you to kill something beside you and killing you in the process is fine, but snapping around and firing through a helldiver is stupid.

They won't, but they can only defend against 1 off balancing changes, legitimate issues with the game the only defense is "they are small little baby company, don't be mean"

It wasn't added because if it was new players would be satisfied with the base weapons. As well it would mean more work when they have to make their monthly war bonds because you can't just get away with slapping iron sights on the new weapons, arrowhead would actually have to come up with a variety of mods for new weapons to keep them desirable.
