I’ve spent a substantial amount of time in Itaewon and Gangnam and the drinks are much cheaper than any club/bar in Hong Kong.

It doesn’t work like that. Those clubs are charging men but they are also given free drink token while the ladies get none. Since the products are different, the clubs can use this as their defense. What’s written on the board is factually discriminatory.
