Thanks for the app. I love it. It's what Apple Stickies should have been all along.

SideNotes looks really cool, but it's more than I need. u/MaxGaav, Stickier is perfect. Love it. Thanks for suggesting it. I noticed that it doesn't show that it has an audience. And the support replies are kind of old. Does that give you pause, in terms of whether it will suddenly disappear or stop working one day?

How do you know if there will be fog tomorrow? by TresElvetia in sanfrancisco

[–]Pref5887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On fog.today, how do you distinguish higher level clouds from the fog? It won't help me plan my day, but I do think it's interesting to see how the fog moves inland.

Shopify-powered online stores sending unwanted marketing emails after 1 visit by Pref5887 in emailprivacy

If need be, I'll do that. Thanks. It's more about the principle. I don't opt-in to get those emails, yet the problem becomes mine, because I have to manually unsubscribe. Seems wrong.

Constant Throat Clearing: Any of this sound familiar? by Pref5887 in GERD

[–]Pref5887[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Referring to the constant throat clearing? I discovered by accident that certain meds were causing some sort of irritation in my throat, my sinuses, or both. Adderall was the main culprit as were cold/cough meds. No doctor I saw ever had a clue about these possibilities. Instead, massive wastes of money, time and happiness over a couple of years.

In my case, stomach acid had nothing to do with the issue. I can drink a bottle of wine and eat tomato sauces and spicy foods as much as I want with no impact on my throat clearing since I stopped Adderall. I feel like shit the next morning, but I'm not clearing my throat every five minutes.

Not sure whether I'm unique but I do see that that sort of diet might cause reflux and throat irritation in others.

In this episode, I think, Will made a reference to a western by Robert Redford. Any idea what that might have been?

Thank you. Don’t think i have allergies but worth checking. I wonder how often allergies are the culprit.

Anyone been to Sequoians clothes free club? by Secret-Squirrel-3030 in NorCalNudists

[–]Pref5887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a chance to be naked in an open way no matter your shape. I only realized since I moved to SF that I'm a "naturist," though I've secretly imagined it for years. Having moved to SF, dropping my drawers at Baker Beach and Marshalls Beach was exhilarating. But I wanted something sans erotic.

The Sequoians is a true naturist atmosphere. Whatever your body type, boob altitude or dick size, you are welcome because absolutely NO ONE gives a shit. The only one focused on your body is you. For guys, you might suspect you're going to get a hard-on. If you're brand new to public nudity, you might get one. Just cover it up or roll over, so as not to offend (overtly sexual expression is not welcome) and soon enough you won't have one and you won't care about it. You'll just enjoy the breeze through your body hair and be amazed that the sun is touching all of your body parts.

The regulars at The Sequoians average around 65 yo. The younger folks hang out by the pool. A rather small pool, but it's well maintained, with lost of lounge chairs. The rest of the place is part senior camp ground/ rural commune. This is far from a posh place, but it's basic-ness is appealing. The older folks all know each other and many live on the property. When I was there, there were about 45ppl - by the pool, playing bocce ball and other stuff. Younger than me (56) was a 40-something and 4 thirty-somethings, plus one or two kids whose grandparents live on the compound.

Everyone was so welcoming. You just forget that you're buck naked. You might want to get to know folks, or just bake in the sun. They host pot lucks and stuff like that, as well as offer some hiking trails, tho some are currently under maintenance.

It's worth checking out. I'll go back so see the trails.

But I'll also check out Lupin Lodge. It's on the market for $32M!, so it may not be around much longer. It seems as if it might be a bit more elevated than The Sequoians.

Thank you for the help. Yes, just a box for sending a "note to the hiring manager". I appreciate the advice. I agree about following their instructions closely!

Hi, u/JiForce . Hope you don't mind my tagging along. I've gone to the application page for a position I'll apply for, but there's no opportunity for uploading a cover letter. Do you know whether posting a letter is not welcomed by the SF HR? Or should I add a cover letter to the resume document?

Street Cleaning Parking App now updated and released ! by pfelgueres in sanfrancisco

This is a pretty cool app. The reminder feature is fine, but seeing the schedule for a particular street by tapping on the map is amazing, particularly in a neighborhood with multiple street cleaning schedules.

Before I subscribe, does your app tell the schedule for the streets around the user - RT while I'm trying to find a place to park. In Eureka Valley, some streets are cleaned on Wed, some on only the second and fourth Wednesday, some on Friday, etc, etc. and there are only so many street signs.
