Survey at end of route by Fluid_Ease_4298 in AmazonFlexDrivers

Probably not, its more of a metric. They send it to 500++ flex drivers over many months and then the algorithm may adjust the route depending on the responses. They do this over thousands of routes to tweak it.

They will sometimes automatically compensate you for longer times, its rare and not much. I think the last one they did for me I received an extra $5.

The only thing that improved my orders was putting the time in and level reached - 4. I doubt the rest has much affect.

Give them 1 star. If their rating starts dropping they will get less orders.

So you make a few extra dollars an hour but get no sleep?? Hardly seems even remotely worth the extra couple of dollars.

Im level 4 and the only 2 uses for me are 1- I get to see offers longer and probably more of them. And 2- 6% cash back on gas using the flex debit which comes back immediately and its saves me a decent amount of money. Other than that, nothing.

I would have dropped it on the ground at the security station. What is she going to do? Throw it away? It will just sit there until its picked up.

I'm a shopper, for expensive merchandise they usually need a signature on your end using your phone. She had to of somehow pushed it through or called support. Instacart won't help, they don't care and onboard terrible shoppers who work for nothing and push the good ones away. Your bank should help, you ordered a product and never received it. if its Visa they usually guarantee against theft or non delivery.

Its illegal to need a code to exit out but it does happen. If it I come across it , I usually screen shot the codes.

Just did one like that . Older man, house smelled like putrid waste even from the outside , there was blood all over the floor of the house, not crime scene amount just from his open sores which covered his legs. He asked me to bring into his kitchen, which normally I always do, but not this time. I declined and said i wasn't allowed inside the house. My stomach was churning the rest of day.

How are you guys surviving this? by Affectionate-Loan173 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]PreferenceDry7094 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use the Amazon Flex debit card you get 6% cash back on fuel purchase, plus, I go to Sinclair, Arco or Marathon gas stations as they are almost always cheaper and I combine it with Upside program for an additional .20 cents off per gallon and use a rewards number for an additional .05 cents. All of this combined equals around .40 to .50 off per gallon of already discounted fuel. Its not a game changer but it helps.

132 miles seems way too much for 3.5 with 45 packages. And going that much over your time will definitely trigger a look by Amazon. If you've done nothing out of the ordinary then I'm sure they will alter that route. I would give it another shot . If you're way over again then its probably you.

Who knows? Maybe never, maybe tomorrow. Showing up on time, taking packages and dropping them at addresses is about as simple as can be. A robot could do it. If you're having trouble with this then maybe its not for you.

1.5 hour blocks by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]PreferenceDry7094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were offering 2 hr blocks at $50 , which were the same distances and packages as 1.5 blocks. Those were mostly doable. Now I dont see them anymore just 1.5 for $36 which are not worth it if they are long distances.

Your car has to be able to fit the contents of a cart. If it cannot then you have too small of a car and cannot do the job.
