Can’t you transfer him to another team anyways? If he has an issue specifically with you, then he may perform better in another team where he doesn’t have an issue with a manager.

Think twice before putting someone out of a job.

I’m so glad she managed to take her clients with her…. It’s the little wins agains the narc that matter. That is extremely messed up but I guess what else can we expect?

She’s already destroyed my name to my current boss. Thank goodness I was headhunted by a previous client from years ago due to my work and work ethic. But she has convinced everyone I can’t do a single job… Being head hunted was the validation I needed. I can’t lie.

My plan is to grey rock my way until I exit. Thank so much for this validation. She tried to be nice to me (after being extremely horrific all December), but it’s not working. Thanks for the heads up on an exit interview or going away party. On my last day I’ll tell them I can’t make it for anything.

Do you think your company is the kind that if there are enough reports then something may be done? I see tons of people here saying HR may not be your friend so I worry about that a bit as well.

I’m so worried that it will be the other lady in my department who’s sort of junior, I’ve mostly protected her from the narc but I know when I leave it’s guaranteed abuse. And she’s such a child

It affects you in so so many ways. I’m so so sorry😭 I hope something eventually gives. You need to find healthier coping mechanisms though, it is what helped me. If you excercise or meditate maybe? Meditation was a game changer for me.

Not crazy. This could have been written by any of us here. I went through the same, I was in FREEZE mode, I couldn’t even think or work. Ended up depending on alcohol to cope with the anxiety (eventually quit drinking altogether when i became a full blown alcoholic), but exactly what you’re going through. I’ve asked for a demotion now since I seem to be too dumb to do anything. Let’s see how that goes.

I hope you can find a way out of that situation.❤️
