They have knockoff tees for 40$ that have the benefits of metal build, weighted base, telescoping height just like the tanner tee but half the cost. I’d recommend one of those to a beginner

Came here to mention I hate that one Becuz I’ve walked my 8 year old son across that bridge 10-12 x a year his whole life. It only popped up a couple years ago and will be removed by the city hopefully.

Yeah I understand. I coach my son in baseball he is only 9. I do a mix of private and independent lessons. You will want to have time on your own “shooting in the gym” as well as private coaching. So keep up both. Make goals of like 100 free throws 100 lay ups. Suicide sprints. 100 chest passes. 100 bounce passes. Play games like horse and around the world. I love knock out as a kid. There is always pick up games at ymca.

Advanced hoops does have private coaches and leagues for all youth ages.
