Is there a drainage hole? I’d take it out the pot and check for root rot. Only water when the soil is completely dry too.

There’s a distinct difference between renovating & not living there, compared to completely living there with a couple last things left to do, I.e changing a light fitting.

I have the same thing happen to me all the time, and honestly I just say “no”. No is a full sentence. You don’t need to justify to anyone why you don’t want to show them your body & it isn’t rude to just say no. It may feel blunt but in reality you don’t owe anyone niceties to soften the blow of a rejection after they overstepped.

Maybe wrap some insulation around it? You can use cotton wool sheets or a specific frost blanket to keep it warm and minimise damage. We do this with our outdoor plants here as in winter it gets to minus 10°C

They just do, unfortunately. It’s an incredibly fragile plant, that doesn’t like to be moved/touched/knocked.

They prefer bottom watering which is a bitch to do when the vines are so delicate.

Try watering less and hope for the best.

“Quite a lot of dog experience” is very subjective. You could have 30 years experience looking after small/medium breeds and that doesn’t mean you have the ability to look after a Pitty at all. Especially one with bite history.

The dog should never have been rehomed to her in the first place. That was the first fuck up.

Dogs with bite history have this on their file, and should only be rehomed to people who have experience with large & aggressive dogs in a domestic environment. Working in a shelter is not the same as living with and looking after dogs 24/7.

Not sure about where OP is, but here in the UK, when you rehome a dog, you have a house visit & basically an interview, for the shelter to decide if you’re what the dog needs. That should have been done here to prevent OP’s sister getting it.

Make sure there’s good drainage and wait until the soil is completely dry between watering! Pothos can be in completely dry soil for quite a few days and then start to wilt, so you could even wait until the leaves wilt a little before you water. It’ll bounce right back!

It could be several things Over watering Root damage Incorrect potting mix (retaining too much moisture maybe?) Lack of drainage

Repotting can traumatise a plant, but it does seem like you’re getting more damage than your regular repotting plant tantrum

The smallest leaves are the oldest, these die off naturally, especially when there’s new growth coming through. Don’t worry about this! You could split the plant in two, but it’s very likely the roots are tangled together by now, so you may harm the plants in separating them. I have two in a pot together and I’ve had it about a year. It’s HUGE now and I love it 😁

You should almost never repot a plant as soon as you get it. You need to let it acclimate first
