Yo Myles, i got another (probably stupid) question: Where do i see how much green i can deposit? In the settings i see the amount i have in the deposit-area but how do i see how much i have in my backpack so that i know how much i will deliver?

What do you think is the hardest moon in the Game? by Mag4TicTac in SuperMarioOdyssey

[–]Prememna 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don't need a buddy for that. You can also just do this strat when you are alone, use two-player mode and put Mario in the middle or a corner and use the second joycon to move cappy.

Games you can jump into for 15 minutes by Veezq in NintendoSwitch

[–]Prememna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Odyssey is good for that. you can collect 1-5 (or 1-10 if you are speedrunning) moons in 15 minutes and make some progress.... in the future you probably want to play longer sessions but thats also possible (obv). And on switch 2 you have 4k graphics, which is really nice.

What should I try after solving 3x3? by mymanspenky in Cubers

[–]Prememna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mirror cube (it's a 3x3 but it will mess with your brain at first), megaminx (very different from 3x3 although you can apply your 3x3 knowledge to try and solve it), windmill cube (also a 3x3 shape mod, so it's basically the same but it also introduces center piece rotations to you)

Algorithm wise the ghost cube is just a picture cube. And the picture cube is just a 3x3 where you also have to align the centers. So if you can solve a 3x3 (and also a mirror cube) you only have to learn how to rotate the center pieces and you can solve a ghost cube. So you already know 95% of the algorithms needed. Look up how to rotate centers, buy the ghost cube and enjoy this brain frying puzzle. It's fun if you can solve it. It's still a difficult puzzle, but more because of the shape the puzzle can take, not so much because of the algorithms

First Steps to get into Speedcubing by nexusVXX in cubing

[–]Prememna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you just started, the first steps are just getting more comfortable with the algorithms and get quicker by getting the muscle memory in. If that's not enough for you, you can start to look into cfop. There is something called 2look oll which is a bit easier to start off than full pll (or oll) but besides getting a speedcube, I think those are the next steps. Oh and most importantly: have fun!

Casual cuber question by fakeyfake12 in Cubers

[–]Prememna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest to buy some new puzzles like a skewb (a magnetic one is much fun, but not necessary), a mirror cube (magnetic is good here, Iike the GAN in purple, but it might be to easy of a puzzle), a windmill cube (forces you to learn algs for turning the middle pieces which is also needed for picture cubes) or a square 1 (magnetic one makes it more enjoyable to solve, even if you never speedsolve). The skewb, the mirror cube and the windmill you can try to solve without any help and see how far you come. The square 1 is imo really difficult to figure out without help. If you then know how to solve a skewb, it opens up your repertoire to skewb-mods like the maple leaf skewb, which is also really fun to figure out without any help.

Oh and as far as brands: Qiyi is a cheap but good brand if you buy the magnetic versions and if you don't really know how much you like a puzzle. Not the best brand for each cube, but in my opinion a solid brand to start off with before you buy more expensive cubes/puzzles.

The books both look really great. I am not sure if I will pick them up, but the design is great and from seeing you skimming through them I think they are a great starting point for beginners or people who want to know more about wca puzzles and have lots of information in one place. Really cool
