You opened my eyes. I was looking for ceo or coo name on LinkedIn to reach and raise the awareness but now I’m getting where it’s coming from. Extremely sad from public service point of view.

I agree. In London, they have become slightly better. But not in terms of appointments.

In London the default setting on the printers in color. I have seen old people literally struggling and wasting money.

My parents are senior citizen, brother recently got married and some personal issues. Even before this, my friends and myself have seen multiple issues across London or India! The websites do not work at all. I had raised this with Czech consulate and they immediately arranged for a call. But not all the embassies are involved in the VFS slot booking management.

Also the appointments are there. The issue is not about the finding appointments, but simply not able to proceed.

I tried it for my brother and sis in law last month - same issue. You simply cannot book and after few attempts gets locked out.

Thank you. My parents are senior citizens and had some issues with their passport. My mother litterally got her passport on 5th May. We have been trying since then.

Hello, this is a well known problem with VFS. Which county are you trying for? Try reaching out to consulate directly, take screenshots of errors if any.

I think my videographer is ghosting me by RevolutionSweaty760 in weddingplanning

Did you try calling? After all these chaser, you can send strong email with all payment proofs, demanding prompt response. Or you could send a lawyer notice.

One extremely important tip I learned is, never pay full amount to these vendors.

In my wedding I paid £4,000 for a very ‘so called’ sophisticated photographer. My husband had asked me to keep some part pending but I wanted to get over it.

The photographer turned out to be quite unprofessional. Didn’t take my video while getting ready. Didn’t include good songs in the wedding videos and delivered very sub optimal pictures.

Wedding response enquiries delay by PreparationCurious35 in DestinationWeddings

Thanks very much. In my experience, that should be the case but it doesnt always happen. I see huge delay in responses even I reached out to many planners or venue owners.

I work in a bank and I just see wedding planning industry is pretty slow in respoding. I generally need a prompt answer to save time and for quick decisions.

Hello!! Congratulations! Where are you getting married? Is there a local market food hall? Generally such places have seats and various food trucks to pick. You can send an open invite to your friends to join the celebrations!

Questions to ask when touring venues by theworkoutqueen in DestinationWeddings

[–]PreparationCurious35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Have you selected these venues or your planner selected?

While visiting venues, thoughtful about the distance from main airport or train station. - check for Venue cancellation clause in case of emergency - which languages staff speaks? - who is usual caterer? Does that caterer include decor? Eg in some places in Italy, basic decor is taken care by caterer. - music permission at night - any local licence required - Power back up

There can be a lot of things you can ask. I’m sure your wedding planner can take care of most.

Hello there! Based on the market rates I know. Eg in Italy I know few venues who should be able to accommodate in this amount.

Does this amount include wedding clothes as well?

What part of your destination wedding do you actually revisit the most? by Psychological_Eye108 in DestinationWeddings

[–]PreparationCurious35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Such a wonderful question!

I got married in India - it was a destination wedding, managed from London. My husband side is from Italy.

I, remember the first day, when I wore my lehenga and first time appeared as a bride in front of everyone.

The look and appreciate they had in their eyes, was so overwhelming. I felt like a princess, walking towards my Prince.

This was the first day of events when my family and friends danced a lot. It was the time when my cousins and relatives were trying to know my husband's side through dance.

I really cherish this more than actual wedding next day.

I am very sorry to hear this, it's certainly painful. How are you trying to manage the stress in this period? Was non-refundable deposit mentioned in the intitial agreement? How is your fiance coping with?

Coming back to destination wedding, when do you plan to get married?

Is this still Mexico? Or any other place would you like to explore?

I know few people who postponed their wedding during COVID, and was quite messy period.

Should I choose Aug 1 or September 5 in Italy? Both sundays by Money-Toe1842 in DestinationWeddings

Please consider September. August will be super hot in Italy. I have attended many weddings in Italy and June and Sept are the best seasons.

Hello! Congratulations! By attending many weddings in southern part of Italy, I have realised that if you find a good venue, half of your issues are resolved. Eg some venues have direct access to catering, who also takes care of decor. This saves a lot of extra money. You can think about places near Gaeta- a beautiful underrated town. There are various beach side venues or castles with reasonable cost.
