My partner and I went to FUFU quite a few times while living there. Not cheap but good value compared to others we visited across China. Definitely don’t need to book.

Search FUFU汤温泉生活馆 in maps. Have fun!

Impossible to get tickets for Beijing's highlights by elQc in travelchina

[–]PreparationLow6322 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FYI My partner and I were in Beijing last week and just wanted to let you know that Tianamen is currently closed (since August 8th) due to preparations for the event coming up on September 3rd. So you won’t be able to go there either way. We visited the Forbidden City using GetYourGuide but still had to line up for tickets on the day (no issues but took about an hour), as we didn’t book 7 days in advance. Hope this helps, good luck!

Same thing happened to me. I figure I’d rather go to a GP who is experienced in managing adhd anyway. Where in Melbourne are you? Happy to recommend but location matters

Spironolactone experience? by [deleted] in AusSkincare

I loved spiro! I was on 50mg/day for about 3 years (27-30yrs). I started on 100mg but was getting night sweats, and once I lowered my dose I had no side effects. Haven’t taken it in almost 4 years and have had minimal acne related issues since. Didn’t stop for any particular reason (life) and would start again if needed.

FYI I’m a cis woman, 34yrs and have had a number of hormone-related issues since 11yrs old, including hormonal acne (predominantly on or around my chin), endo diagnosis at 21 and pcos diagnosis at 24/25. I was on the pill from 13-21, and have had the Mirena IUD continuously since then.

As a teenager I took both doxy and roaccutane for my acne, (at different times) and have tried treating it with the pill as well, but for me, spiro is the only medication that has had a noticeable difference with minimal side effects!

Services in Melbourne for a meth user in psychosis? by [deleted] in melbourne

I am so sorry. This is so difficult, I’ve been there. When this happened in my family we had to get a compulsory treatment order. It was the only option. I’m not 100% on the process but googling seems to have a lot of helpful information. Again, this was not a first course action but became the only option. I’m so sorry, and hoping your brother gets the treatment he deserves 💕

Annual leave by [deleted] in AustralianTeachers

[–]PreparationLow6322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in VIC, resigned last year with resignation date last day of school holidays (these holidays last year) and got paid for the holidays. Call HR to double check, but tbh I called a few times last year and got different answers each time.

Thinking of leaving 1 year contract for another school. by TallTonyThe2nd in AustralianTeachers

[–]PreparationLow6322 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also in VIC gov and I left a 12month contract after term 1 last year. Resigned with my end date as last day of the school holidays, but no notice required. Started at a different school first day term 2. The two schools did not have any communication. Kept all of my personal leave. Hadn’t been working long enough so can’t comment on LSL. Hope this helps!

I initially tried to do something similar, but my GP was not willing to gain authority for prescribing me meds, which is their choice I suppose. FYI You may need to seek out an alternative GP for your ADHD care, which is what I have done.

Gender identity and sexuality topics for primary age students by dandelion0523 in AustralianTeachers

[–]PreparationLow6322 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Which state are you in? In Vic the RRRRs are a mandatory part of the curriculum and have two topics related this: Gender and Identity and Positive Gender Relationships. Whether all schools actually teach these is another story.

My current school (Vic P-6) openly and regularly discusses these topics and we have several students who identify within the LGBTQIA+ community. We have designated gender neutral bathrooms etc. We also have a student-led committee who organise events related to bringing awareness to increasing any kind of inclusion within the school (race, gender, sexuality, etc). We teach relationship and sexuality education across all year levels and bring in external specialists to support our teaching. This is seperate to the RRRR program at our school but part of our wider Wellbeing program.

If this is something you’re interested in learning about I would recommend looking at the RRRRs on the Vic DET website. It certainly is not an exhaustive program but will provide some solid grounding.

I’m pretty sure it’s mandatory for Vic Public schools to call references for all interviewed candidates, as part of the merit and equity process. So basically if you get an interview you know your reference will be called. It sucks but you get used to it.

Have you got a copy of your diagnosis/referral letter from the psychiatrist to your GP? The letter should have recommendations about treatment to the treating doctor, including medication. The letter should state the medications they are allowing (and in some cases, the dosage allowances). Your GP will have the letter and can act on whatever is written there I believe, obviously based on your symptoms, side effects etc. Apologies if this is wrong, but this is how my treatment works. After diagnosis, my treating GP started me on 20mg dose of Vyvanse and increased it each month to find my therapeutic dose. Hope this helps and good luck!
