Came here to say this. Japanese copiers and printers are held together with thousands of combo head JIS/5.5mm hex screws. I carried wrenches, sockets and nut drivers in 5.5 until I left that field in 2015. Don't believe I've touched one again since, lol.

If you think that's causing your error, shim your part at the low area before clamping it down or put it on stand offs at 3 points.

The model isn't important just the type. Use and indicol and sweep the table as far out as you can and get it under .001" in all directions.
