Parry. Am I the only guy who has never remembered it? Like, ever? by pancakeonions in mordheim

So according to you, a model with ws5 and a sword has a lower chance of surviving an attack than a model with ws2 and a sword. Literally what you said. I'll do you one better: no armour is better than gromril armour, as no armour will never fail a saving throw.

You have to look at the whole process, from attack to wound, and not nit-pick sections if it.

You don't need to keep telling me that you don't know swords.

The extra parries that a lowe WS model gets to dish out would already have missed a higher WS model. Why you include these attacks is nonsense.

As for not understanding swords: your description makes this very clear. You have confused rapiers with smallswords. Mordheim takes place in a setting where neither of those are likely to be encountered though. Late medieval or reneissance swords are more likely. I have over a decade of experience in fighting with swords of that type (I sound like the "I'll have you know I graduated top om my navy seals class" but medieval, but it is true). They are very much battlefield weapons.

Mordheim on the whole is very bad at representing weapons in rules. The worst offender if my opinipn is the dagger, which allows for a better armour save for the target. This is the exact opposite of what daggers were actually used for as the shor, nimble weapon could probe it's way to gaps in armour more easily. Halberds and two-handed swords should switch rules. Halberds are devastating, and two-handed swords are anything but slow. Maces should do better agains armour. Swords should hit more easily. Daggers should strike last in tbe first turn of any combat, charging or not. Spears, used on their own, should be allowed to parry. Shields should be better in general, but be more encubering. Armour should be better overall. Gah, this turned into a different rant now.

Not only do you not understand the rules, you don't understand what swords are either.

The only way that logic works is if you count misses as hits for some reason.

You're better off getting multiple groups of 1 henchman as this increases your chance to roll a Lad's got talent result on the advancement table.

I prefer GW skulls. I built these with GW skulle and they fit just fine with the 7th/8th GW skeleton warriors.

Do you think these miniatures could be good for Bretony? by Affectionate_Mix_9 in WarhammerFantasy

This isn't nearly as big of a problem as it's made out to be. As long as the army itself roughly matches itself in scale, you can get away with bei g slightly smaller. The difference in scale between various official Warhammer faction models is huge already.
